Description
The Role
The position will provide support to Finance and Brokers to ensure and maintain and control revenue accuracy. It will act as a liaison between finance, brokers, management, and be the contact person with external partners e.g., insurance companies, reinsurance companies and accounting partners’ communications and co-operation including administrations, controlling, collection and accounting-finance related tasks.
- Contact policy holder for analysis and collection of overdue receivables
- Preparation of payables and receivables aging reports
- Monthly reconciliation with insurance companies and customers
- Perform daily collection records and policy closing processes
- Invoice management for fees and commissions
- Monthly reconciliation of both premium and commission (between broking system and insurer lists) to keep revenue in line with policies and agreements
- Monitoring of bank accounts of receivables: Cross check monthly bank statements to identify all received fees / commissions & close off payments in broking system based on the invoices issued
- Monthly fee reconciliation: Generate report from broking system to monitor client and producing offices non-paid fees and follow up where applicable.
- Follow up with clients to support Brokers on the non-payment for commissions in conjunction with brokers
- Monthly follow up with insurers both on past owed commissions and current/future to ensure we are receiving our revenue in due time
- Ensure accuracy and completion of data, manage error lists in all lines and ensure insurer agreements and relevant rates are up to date in broking system
- Liaison with vendor (broking system) to ensure reporting functionality is up to date and discuss any ongoing improvement to be applied to the system
- Management support of managing director, in any internal reporting related tasks, accounting – finance related communications and co-operations, regulatory reporting management, managing regulator system
Qualifications
The Requirements
- At least 5 years industry experience: insurer or broker experience is advantage, or other relevant in administration / controlling / finance / collection and/or combined fields
- Administrative/controlling approach, understanding the market and processes
- Team player
- Solid presentation and communication skills in Arabic and English
- Negotiation skills (carrier, client, colleagues) are important to be effective in reconciliation process and discussions
- End to end process knowledge: fluent in insurance process, customer focused and can drive results by influencing other key players in the process
