    Description

    Lead and deliver Finex broking strategy for Latin America. 

    The Role

    • Map WTW relationship with Fac and Retail carries and create a broking strategy that makes sense for our current Finex book.
    • Help Finex local leaders deliver the broking strategy. 
    • Map insurance and reinsurance companies’ appetite and capacity and create an updated list of markets for all Latin America, divided by country, to help Finex leaders make sure to access or contact all available capacity. 
    • Keep the list of markets appetite and capacity updated and always update changes to the Finex Team. 
    • Create and maintain relationships with insurance companies and reinsurance markets, by having periodic meetings and attending social events. 
    • Create facilities, line slips (where needed) and in general, tools that help us manage our SME book in an efficient way, and still give our clients good service, coverage and price. 
    • Support Finex local leaders in complex placements.
    • Work alongside Head of Finex and Cyber Latam Leader on mapping capacity for Finex overall strategies, and make sure to be able to place risks as needed, according to what is being offered to clients. 
    • Help create specific products with markets according to our strategies of analytical broker and innovation. 
    • Be aligned with the product strategy for the region and help implement it. 
    • Support Head of Finex on the development of growth strategy, according to broking and placement needs. 
    • Work along with Head of Broking for Latin America, to create and implement Finex strategy, and to be coordinated with Broking in general in Latam and other specialties. 
    • Work with London Finex team members to align strategies, and to coordinate solutions for colleagues and clients needs. 
    • Stay up to date on market trends and their impact to insurers portfolios and client
    • Give periodic updates on market realities, and work with Latam broking leader on Finex sections. 
    • Create a library of slips for all lines that help us standardize the placement work and make it more efficient. 
    • Review and update reinsurance clauses, also negotiate them in the market as needed. 
    • Work and assist in RFP processes.
    • Support in Finex growth strategies as needed. 
    • Assist in achieving the goals and objectives of Global FINEX and FINEX LatAm
    • Work along with Leaders to deliver a significant book of business across FINEX 
    • Overseas travel as and when required
    • Ensure adherence to WTW policies, procedures, and all regulatory requirements

    Qualifications

    The Requirements

    • Experience in broking large/complex Financial Lines insurance and reinsurance.
    • Degree qualified.
    • Language skills:
      • Fluent English skills. 
      • Optional: Portuguese
    • Handle good connections with insurance and reinsurance Finex underwriters. 
    • Experience in Financial institutions.
    • Leading teams skills. 
    • A focus on excellence and a track record of delivering high levels of client service.
    • Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
    • Experience in pricing and designing conceptual programs in conjunction with client teams.
    • Ability to analyze and provide concise conclusions
    • Advocacy and sales skills - demonstrated interest and ability to win new business.
    • Proficiency in analytics and benchmarking.
    • Focused on solutions, with the ability to achieve change in short periods of time, and capable of motivating teams to concentrate on and deliver priorities.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
    • Able to prioritize, manage deadlines and work under pressure.
    • Comfortable explaining complex concepts and negotiating them with markets. 
    • Ability to adapt personal style to work effectively with a wide range of clients, colleagues, and underwriters.
    • Stakeholder management skills.
    • Clear and compelling communication and presentation skills, written and verbal
    • Business and political awareness.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build effective relationships, at all levels, with clients, prospects, associates, insurers, and external specialists.
    • Language skills are advantageous but not critical.
