    Description

    Title: Learning and Development Generalist

    Role overview: Work within the Corporate Risk & Broking (CRB) GB Learning and Development (L&D) team to enable colleagues to gain the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to reach their potential, deliver the organisational mission, and retain talent.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Consult with stakeholders at all levels to define learning and development needs.
    • Collaborate with the L&D team to design, develop, deliver, and evaluate learning and development programmes, including but not limited to:
    • Professional and personal skills for all colleagues
    • Management development/mid-career programmes
    • New hire induction
    • Relevant technical training (partnering with subject matter experts)
    • Facilitate effective and meaningful learning for colleagues at all levels, using a variety of mediums – remote and in-person (usually London and Ipswich offices, full days).
    • Utilise technology to automate processes (e.g., course nominations, course administration and evaluation).
    • Use learning technologies to create self-managed digital modules, curate learning pathways, and immersive learning experiences.
    • Manage all aspects of the internal coaching provision, ensuring continuous evaluation, measurement, and improvement.
    • Manage and update the L&D intranet site.
    • Encourage and support a culture of continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
    • Stay abreast of L&D industry trends and ensure your own continuous professional development.
    • Support broader L&D interventions and the wider L&D team. 

    Qualifications

    Role Requirements:

    Essential:

    • Recognised qualification in Learning & Development to a Level 5 standard
    • Demonstrated experience in embedding the training cycle.
    • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering learning initiatives that adhere to adult learning theories.
    • Demonstrated experience in instructional design (remote, in-person, and digital), including for people managers.
    • Effective experience in facilitating learning interventions at all levels (remote, in-person, and digital).
    • Excellent project management skills.
    • Effective relationship management and influencing skills.
    • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) at all levels.
    • Proficiency in MS Office.
    • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
    • Experience using digital learning applications.

    Desired:

    • Competency in Adobe/Articulate (or similar).
    • Proficiency in remote learning technology (e.g., MS Teams).
    • Experience managing internal intranet sites.
    • Experience in insurance broking and the wider broking ecosystem, including the regulatory environment.
