The Opportunity
Are you ready to lead a dynamic team and make a significant impact? WTW’s Finance function is looking for a talented Manager, Team Leader to join our Global Finance Analytics Centre of Expertise (GFA CoE) team.
The GFA CoE is a centralized Finance function with services and expertise around data, reporting, analytics and planning to be made available to all Business, Business Finance, and enterprise partners. The GFA’s mission is to maximize investments in a specific domain expertise, create new capabilities, specific skills and deploy specialized solutions on a global scale. The GFA is a key development effort to further enable business advisory and partnering and to solve critical business issues.
In this critical role, you'll help manage WTW’s GFA CoE’s success, leading a team of GFA colleagues and partnering closely with Business Finance teams and our global GFA CoE team to deliver outstanding business outcomes.
What You’ll Do
As a Manager in the GFA CoE, you will be instrumental in driving financial planning and analysis while leading and developing a high-performing team:
- Strategic Foresight: Advance and enhance the CoE by implementing GFA’s global service delivery model and continuously assessing opportunities to optimize processes
- Team Leadership: Provide direction and guidance to the team on a day-to-day basis, setting objectives and conducting regular goal-setting sessions.
- Communication: Engage frequently with team members through one-on-one and team meetings, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary contact for Western Europe Business Finance leaders and the GFA team in Mumbai, coordinating interactions and adjusting workload in line with WE BF and GFA leadership
- Leadership Development: Identify and nurture leadership qualities in individuals, preparing them for the next level.
- Performance Management: Manage attrition and absenteeism, ensuring team stability and productivity.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Review and Deliver: Oversee and ensure the quality of team outputs.
- Financial Planning: Drive the financial planning process within your assigned segment, business unit, region, or function.
- Insightful Analysis: Provide financial analysis and key performance insights to support business results.
- Performance Tracking: Analyze monthly financial performance against budget and forecast, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Growth Support: Conduct client profitability, new business, and revenue analysis to support business growth.
- Cost Reporting: Deliver salary, benefits, and other cost reporting and analysis.
- Issue Resolution: Resolve team and stakeholder queries with good judgment and a deep understanding of WTW processes.
- Process Optimization: Continuously optimize processes within the guidelines of the global GFA CoE model.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Lead interactions with global and local stakeholders to collaborate on specific deliverables.
- Standardization: Assess processes for improvement, create process mapping, and lead the team in maintaining standard operating procedures documentation.
- Smooth Transitions: Ensure smooth transitions of processes and tasks between teams by proactively addressing requirements and providing solutions.
- Global Standards: Meet global service standards and adhere to internal procedures for consistent service delivery.
- Performance Reviews: Set goals and objectives for team members and conduct performance reviews.
- Ad-Hoc Support: Provide ad-hoc and project support as needed.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
Your leadership and financial expertise will drive our team’s success:
- Experience: Previous relevant FP&A experience in a large company or public accounting setting.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or another quantitative field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Managerial Experience: Previous managerial experience, leading and developing other team members.
- Certifications: Professional accounting certifications are desired.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with FP&A and Business Intelligence applications (Hyperion Planning / ePBCs, Anaplan, PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx).
- Languages: Written and oral communication skills in English and at least one additional European language (e.g., Spanish, Italian, German, French).
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and a data-driven, analytical approach.
- Team Player: Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
