About the Team
The Employee Benefit (EB) Retention team looks at end-to-end management of employee benefits programs for large corporate clients, focusing on group health and life insurance solutions. They work on policy placement, client relationship management and a proactive service-oriented mindset.
Role
We are seeking an experienced and client-focused professional to join our team . This role involves growing the employee benefits portfolio and end-to-end management programs for corporate clients, focusing on group health and life insurance solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong domain knowledge, hands-on experience in client acquisition and retention, policy placement, client relationship management, good communication skills and a proactive service-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of large corporate clients for their employee benefits insurance needs to meet retention revenue and new business targets
- Handle a team of account managers/sales colleagues
- Advise clients on policy structures and benefits under Group Mediclaim (GMC), Group Personal Accident (GPA/ADD), Group Term Life (GTL), and Outpatient (OPD) coverage etc
Oversee the following policy administration activities
Coordinate with insurance companies for policy/CD, renewals and claims resolution.
Conduct periodic client reviews, claims analysis, and MIS reporting.
Ensure seamless onboarding of clients and manage documentation and compliance requirements.
Handle client queries, escalations, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Work closely with internal teams including operations, claims, and wellness teams.
- Stay updated with market trends and regulatory changes impacting EB policies.
Qualifications
- Overall, minimum 12 years of experience with a minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience in insurance broking or consulting, specifically in Employee Benefits.
- Strong knowledge of Group Health Insurance products (GMC, GPA, GTL, OPD).
- Proven experience in acquisition and servicing corporate clients portfolio, specifically medium and large clients with complex EB needs.
- Excellent client servicing and relationship management skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Team player and people management experience and leadership qualities
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- IRDA Broker certification required
- Open to in-person meetings with clients and flexible to travel locally as required.
