Rhys Simons: supporting equity through investment education and mentorship
Rhys Simons, Associate Director in the UK, works across asset research and portfolio management.
He’s deeply involved in the CEP (Catalyst Education Program) both as WTW’s liaison as well as a governor on the program, which supports students from underserved backgrounds in pursuing careers in investments.
“Following our CEP insight day last year, every student said they’d love to come back and work at WTW in the future. That’s a powerful sign of the program’s positive impact” shares Rhys.
Stephen Miles: enhancing our sustainable investing approach through research and stewardship
Stephen Miles, Head of Sustainable Investing, leads efforts to integrate financial risks related to sustainability into our investment approach.
This is an important area for many of our clients - be it navigating the complexities of climate transition or undertaking effective stewardship.
“In 2024, our stewardship services provider won the ICGN Excellence in Stewardship Award for work its systemic engagement approach to reducing methane emissions”, says Stephen.
Stephen emphasizes that success in this space requires collaboration across research, portfolio management, client teams, systems, legal and compliance.
Ada Kinczyk: shaping climate transition strategies with purpose and precision
Ada Kinczyk, Director in the Climate Transition Analytics team, helps clients manage financial climate risk by modeling how sectors can reduce emissions and adapt to a low-carbon future. Her work spans research, scenario modeling and strategic advisory.
“We ask questions like how to make travel less carbon intensive or how to feed a growing population sustainably. Then we help clients navigate the financial risks and opportunities that come with those changes”, shares Ada.
She finds purpose not only in the research but in the team culture. She’s proud of helping build an environment where people feel valued, ask questions freely and learn new things regularly.
That culture, she says, is key to delivering high-quality analysis and driving real-world progress.
Jing Climacosa: creating opportunity through inclusive hiring and community impact
In the Philippines, Jing Climacosa leads the Manila Investments team.
Inspired by a local entrepreneur who hired financially challenged students, Jing partnered with HR and a school to launch a working student program.
“We’ve hired 10 students, helped five graduate from college and now four work with us full time. All are first-generation graduates”, Jing mentions.
Jing says it’s a privilege to help break the cycle of poverty through the work we do, one student and one family at a time.
