When Nichelle Daulby joined WTW in 2001 as a recent university graduate in London, U.K., as a Retirement Actuarial Analyst, she never imagined that her first role would become a 25-year career shaped by continuous learning, career transitions and experiences spanning continents, teams and business areas.
Today, with dual Georgia and Alabama Leadership roles as the Geography Market Leader and Health & Benefits Office Business Leader (OBL), Nichelle looks back on a career built on curiosity, adaptability and a willingness to embrace new opportunities.
How it started
Nichelle’s story with us began in the Retirement practice in London. Five years later, she embraced a significant change, relocating to Atlanta, in the U.S. and transitioning into Health & Benefits.
The move was more than a change of location. It was also a shift in specialization, exposing her to new clients, new markets and new ways of thinking. Over time, those experiences broadened her understanding of the business and helped her develop skills far beyond her original role.
But that was only the beginning.
Throughout her career, Nichelle has worked across multiple business areas, including Retirement, Health & Benefits (H&B) and Client Management, before returning to H&B with a broader business perspective. For her, the opportunity to explore different career paths has been one of the key reasons she has stayed with the organization for so long.
"I haven't been in the same job for 25 years. I've been with a company that has consistently given me opportunities to learn, evolve and take on something new."
Leading through change
Most recently, Nichelle stepped into the Georgia and Alabama Health & Benefits OBL role leading a team of approximately 80 colleagues within H&B, adding strategic and financial responsibilities to her portfolio.
The transition came during a period of leadership changes across multiple levels of the organization. For Nichelle, one of the most important responsibilities of a leader during times of change is simply being present.
Whether that's spending time in the office, making herself available to colleagues or staying connected to her team, she believes visibility and accessibility help create confidence and stability.
One of Nichelle’s most valuable career growth moments came when she moved into Client Management. The role allowed her to better understand clients' broader business priorities and see challenges through a more holistic strategic lens.
When she later returned to H&B, she brought that perspective with her, helping colleagues and clients connect ideas across different areas of the business.
For Nichelle, some of the most rewarding work happens when people move beyond functional boundaries and understand the bigger picture. That broader perspective continues to shape how she approaches leadership and client relationships today.
Why stay for 25 years?
After a quarter century with the company, Nichelle points to three reasons: opportunities, culture and people.
She says she has always felt valued and encouraged to take on new challenges. She also appreciates the accessibility of WTW's leaders and the caliber of talent across the organization.

Nichelle also credits countless colleagues, managers and mentors who invested time in her development throughout her career. From relocating across continents to navigating different stages of her personal life, she has always felt empowered to pursue her ambitions while adapting to changing circumstances.
Advice for those starting their careers
When asked what advice she would give to someone considering a career at WTW today, Nichelle’s answer is simple: "Be open to new challenges. Sometimes we convince ourselves we're not ready, but we will be. WTW can help you get there."
