Description

About Us

WTW is an award-winning advisory, broking, and solutions company that supports clients worldwide in transforming risk into opportunities for growth. With a rich insurance heritage dating back to 1828, from the Titanic in 1912 to the Moon Buggy in 1971, WTW brings deep industry expertise and longstanding experience. Our WTW Regional Delivery Center, based in the heart of Lisbon, brings together a strong global team of more than 400 colleagues who deliver operational excellence every day through innovation and streamlined, efficient solutions.

The Opportunity

The AI & Automation Specialist will support the development and adoption of AI-enabled solutions, automation, tools and ways of working that improve efficiency, consistency and quality across WTW’s Western Europe Corporate Risk and Broking business. The role will support both bid management and the wider sales function, with an initial focus on opportunities that improve proposal delivery. Working closely with Bid Managers and Sales Operations leadership, the role will help translate operational challenges into practical solutions.

In addition to supporting the development of AI solutions, the role will provide day-to-day support to the Western Europe bid management community. This will involve maintaining shared knowledge and repositories, helping colleagues access high-quality content, and completing the ongoing administration, content management and maintenance required to keep AI and automation tools accurate, current and effective. Over time, this support will extend more broadly across sales as priorities and opportunities become clearer.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the identification and assessment of opportunities to apply AI, automation and other technologies across bid management and the wider sales function, with an initial focus on improving the efficiency and quality of the bid lifecycle.

  • Develop AI and automation solutions for bid management and broader sales needs, including research, prototyping, testing, piloting, deployment, maintenance and continuous improvement.

  • Follow WTW policies, data protection requirements, information security controls and quality standards to support the safe and responsible use of AI, escalating questions or concerns where appropriate.

  • Gather feedback and performance information from bid management and sales users to help identify and implement improvements to tools and processes.

  • Support adoption of developed tools by preparing practical guidance, training materials and communications, and by helping colleagues use approved AI and automation tools confidently and effectively.

  • Maintain and administer structured European repositories of approved bid and sales content, templates, tools and best-practice resources. This includes routine content updates, version control, data housekeeping and other general administration to help ensure that AI and automation tools draw on relevant and up-to-date content.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

  • Around two years’ relevant experience in a business, technology, operations or professional services environment, which may include internships, placements or graduate-level experience.

  • An interest in AI and automation, with a practical understanding of areas such as prompt design, testing, limitations and the importance of human oversight.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to organise information, investigate issues and suggest practical improvements.

  • Awareness of responsible AI, data protection and information security, together with a willingness to learn and follow relevant corporate policies and controls.

  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage assigned tasks, meet deadlines, balance competing priorities with appropriate support and respond flexibly as the role and the function’s priorities evolve.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to ask questions, explain ideas simply and work collaboratively with colleagues across business and technology teams.

  • A proactive, curious and collaborative approach, with a willingness to experiment, learn quickly, seek guidance and respond positively to feedback.

  • Strong attention to detail and a reliable approach to testing, documentation and quality checks.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365. Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform or comparable AI and automation tools would be advantageous, but training can be provided.

  • Exposure to bid management, sales enablement, knowledge management or professional services would be advantageous.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; additional European language skills are advantageous.
