The Business
WTW’s Integrated & Global Solutions (IGS) team is dedicated to serving the needs of the headquarters of its multinational clients. Operating in the global marketplace means multinational companies face a variety of different business, cultural, language and regulatory environments. IGS helps these companies navigate these challenges. We advise multinational companies on certain specialist topics where the IGS has unique experience, but we also act as a single point of contact to help solve client questions where we draw on the expertise of our colleagues from around the world.
The Role
DUTIES:
Associate Director within Integrated and Global Solutions Line of Business at Willis Towers Watson US LLC in Chicago, IL.
Coordinate and manage multi-country projects (including annual global actuarial coordination projects), working closely with client headquarters, local country client contacts and local WTW consultants.
Serve as the project manager and day to day communication liaison with clients, create client deliverables, contribute to client management and new business activities, and participate in the creation of new intellectual capital.
Prepare statements of work, project plans and budgets involving multiple workflow streams and client and consultant teams across geographic boundaries internationally.
Serve as the day-to-day project lead, ensuring the progress of the team against established objectives, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards.
Serve as primary, daily contact with clients located in headquarters as well as overseas offices concerning delivery of services, coordinating with WTW Consultants globally.
Manage client expectations and raise appropriate issues to other senior consultants.
Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects.
Provide value-added consulting expertise in global retirement plan valuation and design.
Participate in special projects including mergers and acquisitions, benefit plan strategy and design, plan management and governance strategy, and global financing and funding policies.
Perform technical, consulting and editorial reviews of work products such as in actuarial valuations, calculations, accounting results, including special accounting events under both U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
Contribute to the development of new tools and approaches, including monitoring and analyzing economic conditions in major markets around the world and updating country profiles.
Meet revenue and billable hour goals as required by business.
Support the generation of new business as part of the broader team.
Develop new business opportunities and enhance existing relationships.
Directly contribute to clients’ success through applying your technical expertise.
Serve as mentor to project team associates.
Salary range = $112,000 to $150,000 per annum.
Qualifications
The Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, plus four (4) years of experience in a related International Benefits Consulting role.
Prior experience working on global HR benefit programs with demonstrated interest in international issues.
Prior experience successfully managing multiple projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget.
Prior experience working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Teams, MS Notes.
Prior experience delivering defined benefit valuation and actuarial consulting services to multinational companies.
Prior experience providing consulting advice and services to multinational companies concerning retirement and broader employee benefit issues for their operations globally.
Prior project management of multi-country projects, including annual global actuarial coordination projects, global benefits brokerage appointments, M&A due diligence or integration projects, plan derisking projects.
Prior experience supporting sales of global benefits and retirement consulting services to multinationals.
Prior experience participating in the creation of new intellectual capital.
Prior experience managing project budget and invoicing.
Proficiency in accounting standards: IFRS (IAS 19), U.S. GAAP (ASC 715, 712).
Exposure to multiple international pension markets and clients.
