    Description

    The purpose of this role is to support the Head of Corporate Risk & Broking, Pacific to deliver against our strategic imperatives for CRB in the Pacific. The role will translate strategy into action, support the development of KPI’s and report on progress. Work closely with the Head of CRB, Pacific to create various reports, presentations and material.

     

    The Role

    Strategic Initiatives

    • Assist the Head of CRB, Pacific to formulate and drive CRB strategic initiatives across the business. Collaborate with leaders and key stakeholders to ensure strategies are embedded into business plans and daily activities.
    • Communicate our strategy simply and compellingly such that it can be easily understood and consistently adopted by key stakeholders and colleagues.
    • Monitor business strategy execution to focus on achieving business results.
    • Work with Head of CRB, Pacific and other key stakeholders to align and embed LOB (Line of Business) organisational structure and standard operating procedures.
    • Partner with CRB Leaders to develop robust and achievable mid-and-long term business plans.
    • Support the preparation of the annual performance scorecard, including the collection and analysis of key information and determination of metrics.
    • Provide project management support for strategic initiatives, strategic investments and operational priorities.
    • Support change management activities across the business and geography.
    • Manage special projects which may arise from time-to-time and assist the Head of Pacific with activities related to all Segments and International projects, including potential M&A opportunities.

    Governance

    • Where appropriate, act as a liaison between the Head of CRB, Pacific and the Geography, Business, & Corporate Function leaders.
    • Plan and manage leadership meetings in line with governance framework, including agenda management and following up on actions.
    • Prepare and analyse various reports and presentations, including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
    • Represent the country at corporate level forums and meetings when required.
    • Ensure reporting, updates and analysis is managed and completed in a timely manner.

    Communications and Change

    • Ensure relevant communication, especially regarding strategic priorities, are cascaded to the relevant colleagues and stakeholders across the business.
    • Partner with internal communications on communication practices, including assisting the preparation of colleague communications and planning & running town halls.
    • Prepare materials to support the Head of CRB, Pacific with presentations to various groups, internal and external.
    • Co-ordinate internal and external requests for information.

    Leadership

    • Collaborate with leaders and colleagues at all levels of the business through engagement and providing support as required.
    • Provide leadership to direct reports, creating a culture of high performance and professional development.
    • Ensure all people processes are undertaken in an effective and timely manner.
    • Support the implementation of relevant people practices that support the attraction and retention of high performing colleagues.

     

    Qualifications

    The Requirements

    • Proven experience in client-facing, technical or placement role with an international insurance broker.
    • Ability to exercise discretion and manage confidential matters always remaining independent and impartial.
    • Proven ability to build relationships and influence others across all levels.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously, often with shifting priorities, ensuring confidentiality, attention to detail and on time delivery.
    • Able to communicate effectively across a variety of mediums.
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to read and interpret financial results.
    • Demonstrated project management and work planning skills.
    • A self-starter who can work independently whilst balancing the need to work effectively as part of a multi-functional and virtual team.
    • Ability to work flexibly (potentially during different time zones) as well as the ability to travel.
