Claims Service Advisor

The primary purpose of this role is to provide a superior Claims Service Advisor to your nominated client portfolio and to protect your clients’ best interests at all times while achieving the best possible outcome for all claims. This will be embodied through achieving the highest standards of customer care, efficiency and compliance and Team Work.

 The Role

Customer Care 

  • Proactively deal with all aspects of client claims from notification through to settlement

  • Deliver excellent client service in an efficient and friendly manner 

  • Provide best in class advice and ensure the client is kept fully informed of all developments

  • Support Account Executives/Brokers by maintaining excellent relationship with the client and keeping them fully informed of important developments

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the Claims Environment including the Injuries Board and Irish Legal System

  • Have a clear understanding of policy covers across all classes of non-life insurance

  • Foster beneficial relationships with Insurers and Loss Adjustors

  • Implement agreed claims handling protocols

  • Preparation of claims data for internal/external endusers

  • Ability to sell the claims service

  • Robustly challenge Insurers’ strategy/reserves where necessary

     

Efficiency and Compliance

  • Maintain Company Standards including Compliance and Willis Excellence Model

  • Understand the claims process

  • Participate in project work

 

Team Work

  • Work with the team to support the business unit in achieving its targets through the appropriate management of resources
  • Support the achievement of client retention and new business targets and revenue growth 
  • Support and work with other members of the client service team (Account Executives and Brokers) ensuring they are kept fully informed of all important developments
  • Support cross selling initiatives and new strategies

Qualifications

What you’ll bring 

  • CIP qualified 

  • Experience of working in a claims role in an Insurance Broker, Insurer or Loss Adjuster/Assessor 

  • Insurance Product Knowledge

  • Excellent communication skills 

  • Strong client advocate

  • Hard working, team player who is expected to demonstrate an ability to meet deadlines, prioritise, pay attention to detail and thrive in an environment that is always changing

  • Flexible in their approach to work and demonstrate a keen willingness to learn 

  • Self-starter, efficient and discrete

  • Good negotiation skills

  • Capable of solving problems and working using their own initiative

  • Motivated & Innovative

  • Excellent Time management skills 

  • Good IT skills including a high level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Excel in particular
