Role Overview

Willis Canada Inc. (WTW) continues to grow, and we are adding a Personal Insurance Client Manager to our Toronto team. This role is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of personal insurance clients, delivering a high standard of service while proactively strengthening and growing the book through coverage optimization, relationship management, and referrals.

The Client Manager acts as the primary point of contact for their clients, providing trusted advice, simplifying the insurance experience, and ensuring coverage remains appropriate as client needs evolve.

The Role

Key Accountabilities:

Client & Portfolio Management

  • Manage an assigned book of retail personal insurance clients with accountability for retention, coverage quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding clients’ evolving risks and recommending appropriate coverage solutions.
  • Proactively round out orphan and underinsured accounts by identifying gaps and offering relevant insurance options.
  • Build strong client relationships that naturally generate referrals and long-term loyalty.

 

Renewals & Policy Management

  • Manage the renewal process, including marketing when required, ensuring appropriate underwriting, accurate documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Retain renewal business while supporting portfolio growth through coverage enhancements and cross-line opportunities.
  • Ensure all policy changes and transactions are completed accurately, documented thoroughly, and communicated promptly to insurers.

 

Service Excellence

  • Deliver professional, timely, and efficient service through inbound and outbound client communication.
  • Resolve routine client issues independently and escalate complex matters as appropriate.
  • Reduce client friction by simplifying processes and clearly explaining coverage, options, and next steps.

 

Operational & Team Contribution

  • Adhere to established workflows, service standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to support overall team and business objectives.

 

 

Qualifications

The Requirements

Core Qualifications

  • Valid RIBO license with commitment to continuing education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Client-first, solution-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

 

Preferred Experience

  • Post-secondary education
  • Experience managing a personal lines book of business
  • Familiarity with multiple Ontario personal insurance carriers
  • Experience with Applied EPIC and personal lines rating platforms

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $70,000-$77,000 CAD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
