The Role                                                                                                                  

This role leads the regional M&A Transactional Risks business, driving growth in line with firm strategy. Key responsibilities include overseeing the pipeline, strengthening client and market relationships, and ensuring high‑quality delivery of W&I, Tax, and Contingent Risk solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Lead the regional M&A business and refine the Transactional Risks value proposition.
  • Drive revenue growth and market expansion across W&I, Tax, and Contingent Risks.
  • Ensure targets are met in an ethical and compliant manner.

 

Sales, Pipeline & Execution

  • Manage the regional pipeline and partner with Broking Leaders on prioritization and execution.
  • Maintain high standards of advisory and placement within tight timelines.
  • Maximize revenue from new and existing clients.

 

Collaboration & Cross‑Functional Engagement

  • Build a collaborative culture across regional and global M&A teams.
  • Work with CoEs, other LoBs, and global offices to support cross‑selling and innovation.
  • Contribute to M&A initiatives and global best practices.

 

Operational & Organizational Management

  • Provide financial and operational oversight in line with Group standards.
  • Deliver regular reporting and insights for leadership.

 

Client & Market Relationships

  • Understand client structures and needs, and engage key decision makers.
  • Build strong relationships with insurers and underwriters, particularly in London.

 

Major Accountabilities

  • Develop and align mid‑ and long‑term M&A strategy.
  • Deliver high‑quality advice and tailored insurance solutions.
  • Drive collaborative business development across teams and regions.
  • Support product innovation, cross‑selling, and organizational initiatives.
  • Provide timely reporting and governance support.
  • Strengthen client and insurer relationships to enhance placement outcomes.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or MBA (or equivalent).

  • Professional credentials such as legal qualification, ACII, or local equivalent preferred.

  • Significant experience in M&A or a closely related industry.

 

Skills

  • Strong leadership with proven people‑development experience.

  • Solid problem‑solving, planning, and budgeting capability.

  • High business and financial acumen with understanding of corporate strategy.

  • Proven ability to win new business and meet challenging sales targets.

  • Excellent stakeholder management in a matrix environment.

  • Strong facilitation skills with an inclusive, collaborative approach.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.

  • Able to represent the company confidently with clients and market partners.

  • Holds all required regulatory licenses and permissions.
