Our Retirement team combines expertise in retirement, actuarial and compliance consulting to support global organizations worldwide in designing, managing, administering, and communicating all types of retirement plans. Whether a client has a defined benefit pension, a defined contribution plan, and/or a nonqualified plan, we collaborate with the organization to determine the right approach to design, funding, investing, governing, and employee engagement that fits their specific goals.

The Defined Contribution (“DC”) Strategy Team is part of WTW’s Client Solutions group within WTW’s Retirement business. The DC Strategy Team is comprised of a group of colleagues with complementary skill sets that can be deployed to meet the range of client needs and business objectives (e.g., industry expertise, geography, specific DC expertise, client connection, Lead Retirement Consultant buy-in, etc.). ​The DC Strategy Team’s charter is to expand WTW’s DC footprint and enhance brand and market impact, by identifying and commercializing key DC Client Solutions through partnership with Lead Retirement Consultants (“LRCs”) to identify and engage in revenue generating discussions and outcomes. 

DC Strategy Team Role 

As a member of the DC Strategy Team, you will serve as a subject matter expert (“SME”) specific to defined contribution opportunities and, in collaboration with LRCs, provide support and strategy to develop new business and deliver on strategic client engagements for our clients. Specific responsibilities of the role include: 

  • Articulating the WTW DC value proposition internally and externally
  • Driving significant DC revenue growth that is measurable and repeatable​ through LRC partnership
  • Partnering with LRCs to expand their DC knowledge, to strengthen partnerships and identify and engage in DC opportunities and revenue generating discussions 
  • Articulating and demonstrating DC knowledge and solutions to support strategy discussions with LRCs
  • Collaborating with Retirement Business Leaders and Office Business Leaders to execute DC consulting business strategy in the local and regional markets 
  • ​Deploying into multiple clients as the DC SME based on the customized needs of the client and client team 
  • Collaborating with LifeSight PEP stakeholders, adjacent Client Solutions (e.g., Financial Resilience, Nonqualified Plans, Governance & Compliance) and key non-Retirement businesses (e.g., Investments, etc.) to share experiences, ideas and identify new and emerging opportunities
  • Leveraging experience in external marketplace, including work with external DC vendors, to facilitate knowledge sharing and expand DC Strategy Team expertise
  • Coordinating with LRC/client team to develop and present high quality client deliverables 

Qualifications

Requirements

  • 12+ years consulting in DC space

  • Executive presence with polished and well-developed written/oral communication skills
  • Specialized defined contribution market and ERISA/DOL/IRS knowledge
  • Organized, proactive, and focused leader
  • Creative problem solver who overcomes challenges

Compensation and Benefits 

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation.

Compensation 

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $150,000-$220,000 USD per year. 

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus
