The WTW Alternative Asset Insurance Solution (AAIS) group provides a full spectrum of commercial insurance, employee benefits and transactional services for private equity firms and their portfolio companies. The AAIS engagement with a client begins with due diligence in evaluating the costs, liabilities and exposures of potential acquisitions. Ensuring that during the diligence phase, broking teams are delivering the full WTW value.  After close, WTW manages the portfolio company’s insurance program through the private equity firm’s hold period and during a sale process ensures the proper steps are taken for a seamless transaction with on overall objective of maintaining WTW services in place after close with new ownership team. This position supports AAIS Producers and Diligence teams by managing the conversion of the portfolio company to a WTW client, management of the portfolio company programs post-closing, and supporting post-closing and renewal placement needs.  

The Role:

  • Leadership and Strategy: Leading the AAIS Middle Market team, executing strategy, and accelerating growth in M&A transactions. This includes strengthening WTW's position as a leading broker for such deals.
  • Client Advisory: Providing detailed risk assessments, deal-specific insurance advice, and developing tailored P&C placement programs for middle-market, clients involved in M&A.
  • Negotiation and Placement: Leading negotiations with underwriters regarding coverage terms, conditions, and pricing on new and existing programs, and evaluating quotes.
  • Due Diligence: Leading a team of brokers in the M&A due diligence process from initial engagement to transaction close, which can include accessing data rooms, summarizing data, and ensuring compliance with WTW policies.
  • Business Development: Supporting new business opportunities, developing relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and insurance markets, and potentially leading front-end sales/RFP efforts.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with a global network of experts, to develop innovative solutions and ensure seamless service delivery across different regions and regulatory environments. 
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Managing a team of brokers, fostering professional development and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Analytics and Solutions: Collaborating with actuarial and analytics teams to develop tailored solutions (as needed) to conduct detailed risk assessments using proprietary data and tools to enhance client outcomes. 

General Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in Middle Market Property & Casualty Insurance industry, particularly in broking, underwriting, and M&A.
  • Expertise: Deep knowledge of the insurance market, including market cycles, regulatory environments, and specific M&A-related coverages.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership experience, including team management, mentorship, and the ability to influence at senior/C-suite levels.
  • Communication & Relationship Building: Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted advisor relationships with C-suite executives, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Capability to manage multiple transaction-related projects, ensuring objectives, budgets, and timelines are met.

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $275,000.00 - $315,000.00 USD per year.

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
