    The Role

    The role of the Implementation Director is to serve as the link between the client, the Retirement Consulting team and the Pension Outsourcing team to ensure that pension administration processes and software for the client plans (new implementations and ongoing maintenance) accurately reflect the plan design features and comply with current pension legislation. Specifically, this individual will lead, manage and partner with the implementation team, the pension outsourcing team and the client to ensure overall delivery of the implementation is completed properly, effectively and on time.

    You will have the opportunity to:

    • Establish a trusted advisor role with prospects and clients, and provide consistent, superior relationship management concerning pension outsourcing issues
    • Lead implementation project team throughout the implementation and holds them accountable to their roles and responsibilities; provide coaching and feedback as needed
    • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with internal and external clients through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects
    • Attend and lead client meetings throughout the implementation phase of the project and support Pension Outsourcing Director in transition to ongoing.
    • Responsible for ensuring the solutions delivered to the client align with Pension Outsourcing administration process and technology standards.
    • Provide value added consulting to clients concerning defined benefit system implementation and ongoing administration including best practices, marketplace providers, cost and return on investment issues, pros and cons of solutions, etc.
    • Interpret pension plan designs and legislative changes, identify and document associated system requirements, works with development staff to ensure that requirements are understood, and define and manages the implementation project.
    • Work with the pension outsourcing team to translate business needs into comprehensive project plans/ statements of work including objectives, timeline, deliverables, budget and quality standards
    • Support special projects (both client projects and internal) as needed and as capacity allows.
    • Participate in finalist presentations and other activities to help close new business
    • Employ WTW's Professional Excellence tools and concepts to ensure efficient and quality output/service delivery
    • Employ the most cutting-edge tools and resources and work with top talent in the industry
    • Contribute to the development of new tools, processes and solutions to create efficiencies and meet clients’ outsourcing needs

    Qualifications

    The Requirements

    • A minimum of 10 years work experience in an implementation environment
    • Strong knowledge of defined benefit plans, pension benefits administration processes and systems, software delivery, and/or process reengineering
    • Proven ability to establish relationships and work collaboratively with team members in other practices, and at all levels, to effectively solution for client needs through new offerings or services 
    • Proven experience in successfully leading project teams with multifaceted, competing priorities and deadlines, including virtual work teams with members in different geographic regions
    • Experience with pension administration projects and/or systems, including interaction of data, software, administration outputs, and processes
    • Experience in managing multiple people and projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget.
    • Functional or industry knowledge/experience in the application of technology to solve human resource needs such as HRIS/payroll system integration, pension plan administration, employee self-service and pension payroll administration
    • Strong analytical, integrative and problem-solving skills
    • Strong project management skills
    • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills including ability to interpret and document plan provisions. Should also be comfortable communicating with associates at all levels and building strong relationships within and across business lines
    • Effective listening skills
    • Experience in Microsoft Office products, including Project, Excel, Word, experience with SQL and database manipulation a plus
    • Ability to work well under tight project deadlines
    • Ability to travel and work extended hours as needed
    • Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science or other major with significant quantitative course work and a strong academic record
    • Strong oral and written communication skills in French and English
