The Role
Junior Broker – Property & Casualty
The successful candidate will join the Property & Casualty Placement team, which is responsible for arranging insurance coverages for liability, property, environmental risks and special risks (e.g. tampering, product guarantees, reputational risks).
The team focuses on placing these risks on the main national and international insurance markets, primarily for Large Corporate clients.
The role offers a structured professional development path, aimed at progressively building the technical and commercial skills required to grow into a Property & Casualty Placement Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the placement of national and international insurance programs, mainly Property and Liability, for Large Corporate clients, working closely with senior brokers and client management teams
(e.g. reviewing submissions, liaising with insurers, supporting the analysis of market feedback and preparation of client offers) - Assist in managing the renewal process of existing insurance policies, in line with agreed renewal strategies and under the guidance of senior team members
- Contribute to providing technical support and advisory services to clients and prospects, helping to identify appropriate insurance solutions, also in collaboration with specialist consulting teams
- Collaborate with WTW colleagues and project teams, both in Italy and internationally, to support client delivery and placement activities
- Support colleagues in responding to client needs, including handling queries and participating in calls and meetings, contributing to client satisfaction and retention
- Assist in the preparation of technical materials, presentations and client proposals related to Property & Casualty topics, for both internal and external use
- Contribute, within the scope of the Placement team, to the analysis and preparation of responses to tenders, broker selection processes and insurance due diligence activities
- Support the development of relationships with insurers and market partners, helping to gather market intelligence and support negotiations
- Use group systems and tools to ensure accurate recording of placements, quotations and outcomes, and help maintain benchmarking tools and databases
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with group legal, regulatory and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
The Requirements
- University degree in Law, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent
- 2–4 years of experience in the insurance industry, gained within a broker, insurance company or similar organization
- Fluent English (professional working proficiency, written and spoken)
- Solid knowledge of Excel and good familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to prepare structured and detailed comparative models, as well as to synthesize and clearly present key outcomes
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
- Strong learning attitude, openness to feedback, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a high level of adaptability
