About the team:
The Group Compliance Function’s aim is to proactively support WTW to generate sustainable value, helping the company to deliver good client outcomes, manage its conduct, protect against regulatory risk, and to maintain strong regulatory relationships. We aim to be a trusted partner to the business. Within WTW’s internal control system, we form part of the Second Line of Defence, as a function independent from daily business activities.
Our Every Day Effect is to inspire ethical decisions. Compliance is a trusted Professional Partner, supporting WTW’s sustainable business growth by providing pragmatic advice, oversight and effective challenge.
We lead the management and co-ordination of WTW Group Compliance policies and procedures, identifying applicable regulatory requirements and assisting in implementing relevant processes to enable standards to be met. We also provide guidance and training. We monitor compliance with regulatory obligations and implemented controls within the Compliance Program. The Compliance team leads the management and co-ordination of the requirements of our global regulators.
Summary:
The role focuses on identifying opportunities for Artificial Intelligence-driven automation within compliance processes and collaborating with internal teams and vendors to design, deploy, and integrate Artificial Intelligence solutions for monitoring, reporting, and audits.
Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and governance policies, monitoring Artificial Intelligence tool performance, and recommending improvements. The position requires staying informed on emerging technologies and compliance regulations to drive continuous enhancement.
Additionally, the role involves aligning Artificial Intelligence initiatives with organizational objectives through stakeholder collaboration and preparing documentation and training materials for compliance staff. Knowledge of cost-benefit analysis and Return on Investment estimation for Artificial Intelligence projects is desirable.

Artificial Intelligence Opportunity Identification:
Analyse compliance work to identify areas for Artificial Intelligence-driven automation and optimization.

Artificial Intelligence Development & Deployment:
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to design and implement AI solutions for compliance monitoring, reporting, and audit processes.
Support integration of Artificial Intelligence tools into existing compliance frameworks.
Knowledge of cost-benefit analysis and Return on Investment estimation for Artificial Intelligence initiatives. (good to have)

Sustainability & Governance:
Ensure Artificial Intelligence solutions comply with regulatory standards and internal governance policies.
Monitor performance of deployed Artificial Intelligence tools and recommend improvements.
Monitor emerging technologies and compliance regulations to ensure continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work with business units, Information Technology, and data teams to align Artificial Intelligence initiatives with organizational goals.
Prepare documentation and training materials for compliance staff on Artificial Intelligence-enabled processes.

Manage internal relationships:
Foster close relationships with business support areas, including Group Legal, Group Risk and Internal Audit.
Co-ordinate with Internal Audit and External Audit on those activities that cover compliance obligations only (during a review and in an ongoing way).
Requirements:
Compliance Expertise:
Basic understanding of regulatory compliance policies and procedures
AI Knowledge:
Ability to design effective prompts for generative Artificial Intelligence tools to assist in compliance documentation, policy drafting, and risk analysis.
Understanding of responsible Artificial Intelligence principles and bias mitigation in compliance-related Artificial Intelligence applications.
Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence platforms and tools (Microsoft Power Platform, Azure Artificial Intelligence, Open AI APIs).
Basic experience or knowledge in applying Artificial Intelligence in compliance (e.g., predictive analytics, anomaly detection, Natural Language Processing for regulatory text analysis). (good to have)
Technical Skills:
Understanding of data handling, automation workflows, and API integrations. Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning concepts and their application in business processes
Soft Skills:
Analytical mindset, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication skills
Preferred certifications
Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals.
AI-900: Microsoft Azure Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals.
UiPath Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developer or equivalent.
Qualifications
Degree level. It is possible likely that the job holder may also have a relevant professional qualification –
information technology, compliance, insurance, accountancy or business.
