Real growth, real impact
Alicia Lasser, an Associate Director in our Investments team in the United States, began her journey in 2019 on the third-party oversight team.
Her path to leadership was shaped by opportunity, support and a willingness to develop based on the evolving landscape of the industry and the Investments business.
“I joined WTW in December 2019 on the third-party oversight team and that opportunity was really exciting for me because I was able to utilize a lot of my prior work experience. I focused on career development and was invited to be part of an internal program that sparked my interest in leadership.”
In 2022, Alicia stepped into a new role leading the US Middle Office team, a group facing some challenges. With the backing of her peers and managers, she helped transform the team and now leads the North America Middle Office.
“Over the two and a half years, I've seen so much growth and that's really from the support of management, the support of the peers, support of the amazing team we were able to build. We overcame so many challenges and I’m proud of my team.”
Non-traditional paths and learning opportunities
Ellie Lloyd Jones, a Director in our Investments team in the United Kingdom, joined WTW in 2017 and quickly discovered the breadth of learning and support available.
“For me it's been an excellent place to start my career due to the learning opportunities and the fun and supportive working environment. I've experienced working in client service, portfolio management for DB pension schemes and being an analyst on two of our funds. Most recently, I switched focus to build our client base in wealth.”
Ellie’s career path shifted almost overnight, from pensions to wealth, thanks to her initiative and WTW’s flexibility.
