Our Prague office is a regional consulting hub supporting insurers across Central and Eastern Europe and other international markets. As part of our Insurance Consulting and Technology team, you will work on complex life insurance assignments, collaborate with experienced specialists and contribute directly to solutions for our clients.

This opportunity is designed for an actuarial professional who has already gained initial experience and is ready to take the next step towards a broader consulting role.

The Role

We are looking for an Actuarial Consultant with experience in Life insurance to join our growing team in Prague.

You will contribute to local and international client projects across areas such as actuarial modelling, financial and regulatory reporting, valuation, product development, risk management and transaction support.

Working closely with senior consultants, you will take ownership of defined workstreams, communicate results clearly and gradually expand your client-facing and project management responsibilities.

What You Will Do

• Perform actuarial analyses and modelling for life insurance clients.
• Contribute to valuation, financial reporting and regulatory assignments.
• Support projects involving IFRS 17, Solvency II, actuarial transformation and model development.
• Review and interpret actuarial results, identify key insights and communicate their business impact.
• Take responsibility for defined project tasks and deliverables.
• Prepare client-ready reports, presentations and technical documentation.
• Participate in client meetings and support the development of strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues from different WTW offices and specialist teams.
• Support and share knowledge with less experienced team members where appropriate.

What You Will Bring

We are looking for someone with a solid actuarial foundation who is ready to broaden their technical experience and develop as a consultant.

• Education: A university degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field is preferred.
• Experience: Typically two or more years of relevant experience in life insurance, actuarial consulting or a related actuarial role.
• Sector knowledge: Practical understanding of life insurance products, actuarial modelling, valuation or financial and regulatory reporting.
• Professional development: Progress towards an actuarial qualification is an advantage.
• Technical skills: Strong Excel skills are essential. Experience with actuarial modelling software such as Prophet or RiskAgility FM is highly beneficial. Knowledge of R, Python, SQL or PowerShell is an advantage.
• Consulting skills: You can structure your work independently, communicate findings clearly and manage competing priorities.
• Language: Fluency in English is required. Czech, Slovak or another CEE language is an advantage.
• Attitude: You are collaborative, client-focused and motivated to take on increasing responsibility.
