Description
Senior Broker position within the Facultative GB business, reporting to the Head of LatAm, Facultative. Responsible for placing, retaining and servicing existing LatAm cedants, while leading the development and conversion of new business opportunities. The role will also contribute to business planning and global strategy, working with the wider team to support growth and shape the future direction of the LatAm Facultative business.
The Role:
- Lead the placement, renewal and servicing of LatAm facultative reinsurance business, identifying appropriate markets and placement strategies.
- Build and maintain senior relationships with cedants, clients and (re)insurance markets across London and international markets.
- Develop tailored reinsurance solutions, including programme structures, pricing and placement strategies that meet client needs and deliver profitable business.
- Drive new business development, including prospecting, RFPs, client presentations and conversion of new opportunities.
- Identify portfolio growth, cross-selling and new-from-existing opportunities to maximise revenue.
- Provide technical and market expertise, advising clients and colleagues on complex reinsurance requirements.
- Lead negotiations with underwriters and key market contacts, building long-term strategic relationships.
- Contribute to business planning and the development of the Global LatAm Facultative strategy.
- Collaborate with Account Executives, Sales and wider WTW teams to deliver strong client outcomes and profitable growth.
- Ensure compliant placement, contract management and service delivery in line with WTW policies, FCA requirements and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
What you'll bring:
- Extensive years’ experience in (Re)Insurance, with a strong track record in broking or underwriting.
- Significant experience in Facultative Reinsurance, ideally with strong LatAm market knowledge and relationships.
- Strong understanding of the global (re)insurance market and experience managing complex client and cedant requirements.
- Experience across retail, reinsurance and retrocession placements, with whole-chain experience desirable.
- Proven ability to win, develop and retain profitable business and identify growth opportunities.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, relationship management and presentation skills.
- Ability to provide technical expertise and communicate complex reinsurance concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.
- Strategic and commercially minded, with the ability to contribute to business planning and global growth initiatives.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and influence stakeholders across teams and markets.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong IT skills, including Excel, MS Office and relevant broking systems; Power BI/PQ/RIC experience desirable.
- ACII qualified or working towards ACII is preferred.
- Strong commitment to FCA, WTW policies and regulatory requirements.
