You will lead and deliver consulting engagements across areas including insurance program optimization, risk retention analysis, limit adequacy assessments, self-insurance and captive feasibility, capital modelling and broader risk quantification. Using analytics and actuarial techniques, you will translate complex data into practical recommendations that support risk transfer, capital allocation and business resilience.

For Principal Consultant candidates, the role will also include leading project teams, mentor junior colleagues and contributing to the growth of our Strategic Risk Consulting capability across the Pacific region.

The Role

  • Lead and deliver consulting engagements for clients across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Design, build and review analytical models to assess risk retention, insurance program structure, limit adequacy, technical pricing and alternative risk financing strategies.
  • Develop strategic recommendations based on quantitative analysis and modelling outputs.
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to clients, including senior executives and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including client meetings, proposals, pitches and tender responses.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across actuarial, catastrophe modelling, climate, alternative risk transfer, risk engineering, forensic accounting and insurance valuation teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Work with teams across WTW's global network to deliver consulting engagements and share leading practices, methodologies and insights.
  • Mentor and support junior team members and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience applying data and modelling techniques to complex business challenges.
