The Role

Works with the Transactional Solutions (“TS”) Client Advocate or Production Team within the Willis Mergers & Acquisitions Group in the design and placement of transactional insurance products for client, prepares submissions/coverage specifications, presents submissions/coverage specifications to carriers, and negotiates to secure coverage that meets client needs. Advises TS Client Advocate or Production Team in selecting carrier quotes that meet client needs, prepares and presents client proposals. Binds carrier quotes and obtains binders and coverage confirmations. Maintains strong relationships with key carriers. Participates in sales presentations.

 

Responsibilities:

· Technical placement, underwriting or sales experience

· Provides coverage and program design advice and expertise to TS Client Advocate or Production Team

· Provides knowledge to TS Client Advocates or Producers about markets and products as they relate to classes of business

· Drafts sales materials and participates in the sales process with producers

· Prepares submission/coverage specifications and submits proposals to carriers for quotes

· Receives quotes from carriers and negotiates for the best program for clients, provides coverage comparison

· Prepares quote proposals to present to client

· Communicates with TS Client Advocate or Production Team regarding program improvements and recommendations

· Preparation and finalization of Carrier and Client quotes & coverage confirmations to ensure contract certainty

· Manages the claim process and communicates with the insured and carriers throughout the process to support favorable outcomes and claim payment certaint

Qualifications

Qualifications:

· JD degree, preferred

· M&A experience preferred or similar legal experience

· 2 – 4 years industry experience, preferably with M&A or complex insurance experience, or with representations & warranties, contingent and/or tax liability insurance experience

· Must have obtained insurance brokers license within 60 days of employment

· Demonstrates knowledge of core insurance principles & provide explanation to clients

· Ability to conduct research

· Must demonstrate core competency of Willis Values & Vision

· Self-starter/requires minimal supervision

· Will seek guidance when needed

· Solid presentation skills – written and oral

· Good listener

· Strong leadership skills

· Mentoring/coaching skills

· Enhancing client service skills

· Ability to deal with difficult client situations

· Demonstrates knowledge of Insurance structures

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $150,000– $325,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
