Within WTW, there are women whose leadership and purpose leave a mark that extends far beyond their roles.

This Women’s History Month, we’re celebrating two colleagues who are showing what it truly means to make history: not only through professional impact, but through the lives they touch in their communities.

Their stories remind us that leadership is not defined by titles alone, but by the doors we open, the people we lift and the change we choose to drive.

Monica DeGraff: leading through connection at work and in the community

With over 11 years at WTW, Monica DeGraff has built a career defined by human connection, empathy and empowerment. As Senior Director and Market Leader for Colorado, Utah and Wyoming, she has dedicated her leadership to creating environments where people feel valued and included.

Her focus on bridging generations within her team (pairing early-career talent with seasoned professionals) has strengthened collaboration and created an enduring sense of belonging across a team that spans geographic distances.

Through initiatives like quarterly mentorship conversations, team-building activities and volunteer events, Monica continues to champion a culture where every colleague can grow and thrive.

But her purpose doesn’t stop within our walls. Monica also volunteers at a local mental health center, applying her consulting experience to support individuals facing mental-health challenges and substance-abuse issues.

Her community impact is an extension of the same values she brings to WTW: compassion, dedication and a commitment to uplifting others.

As she shares: “I found purpose in volunteering outside of work. I use what I’ve learned in my career to help my community in a meaningful way.”

Jing Climacosa: opening doors for the next generation

For over 13 years, Jing Climacosa has led the Manila Investments team with vision and purpose. Her leadership style reflects a belief in opportunity, especially for those who often have the least access to it.

In the Philippines, economic hardship remains one of the greatest barriers to education. Inspired by a local entrepreneur who employed financially challenged students, Jing saw an opportunity to make a difference. Partnering with Human Resources and a local school, she launched a working-student program within WTW.

The results have been transformative: 10 students hired, 5 first‑generation college graduates and 4 now full‑time WTW colleagues.

What began as a local initiative has since become a model replicated by other teams across WTW Philippines and even recognized by employers outside the organization who hope to mirror its success.

For Jing, this work is deeply personal: “It is such a privilege to make a positive difference in the lives of others through the work that we do.”

Her legacy is one of breaking intergenerational cycles and proving that meaningful change can start with a single idea and expand into a movement.

Start a career that moves your boldness to brilliance

Both Monica and Jing show us that making history isn’t always loud. Sometimes it looks like mentorship, consistency, compassion and bold decisions that open doors for others.

Their journeys are examples of leadership that empowers, connects and transforms. They remind us that at WTW, history is made every day: one person, one team and one community at a time.
