We are seeking a qualified and motivated Account Manager who demonstrates in-depth broking experience to join our Affinity team in the Melbourne office. 
 

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of client servicing focusing on a variety of top performing programs in the OEM sector, whilst also contributing to a number of wider new business projects. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing senior client relationships together with partnering peak bodies in this sector. Demonstrating exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills, the successful candidate will work with leaders in managing both new and established portfolios in support of continued growth of an existing portfolio of business.  

The Role

As a member of a high-performing team, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining business relationships with new and existing clients and insurers
  • Leveraging your direct experience, which is underpinned by your understanding of the unique risks and business requirements faced by providers and stakeholders within our client's industries.
  • Provision of general insurance and risk advice to senior client representatives.
  • Identifying insurable risks and designing and negotiating appropriate insurance solutions for our clients. 
  • Collaborating with local and international colleagues and teams, in support of expanding our global value proposition, including oversight of our customer support service brokers. 
  • Promoting the WTW brand within the insurance industry both locally and internationally.
     

Qualifications

The Requirements

  • You have experience as an Account Manager gained within the insurance or insurance broking industry
  • You have the Tier 1 (insurance broking) qualification and demonstrated commercial acumen
  • You have a proven ability to understand and meet a client’s needs 
  • You have strong report writing skills and the ability to prepare thought leadership publications
  • Your excellent writing skills are supported by a reasonable level of competency in Word and Excel and knowledge of PowerPoint 
  • Your oral and written communication skills are outstanding.  Whether you are communicating one-on-one, or to a group, your exceptional interpersonal skills ensure you stand out from the crowd
  • Your time management skills keep you ahead of your schedule and workload
  • You remain measured and composed in stressful situations
  • We’ll love your drive, ambition and focus on excellence
  • Your personal presentation will set you apart when you walk through the door
  • Experience in the OEM sector and/or supporting industries will be highly valued
  • You have strong negotiation, troubleshooting and persuasive techniques to manage customer and business relationships
  • You welcome feedback and insights which drive you to manage and implement change in processes or products.
  • Promoting the Willis brand within the insurance industry both locally and nationally.
  • Enjoy national travel and visiting key stakeholders and industry partnerships including automotive dealerships, OEM leaders.
