Capital Modelling Consultant – Property & Casualty

Join WTW's UK P&C Consulting Practice and work alongside some of the insurance industry's leading experts in capital modelling and risk management. As a Capital Modelling Consultant, you will help insurers unlock the full value of their capital models, supporting critical business decisions across capital strategy, reinsurance purchasing, portfolio optimisation and risk management. This is an opportunity to combine technical expertise, client leadership and commercial insight while contributing to innovative solutions that address the evolving challenges facing the insurance market.

The Role

• Lead and deliver capital modelling and capital management projects for insurers, providing high-quality analytical and strategic advice.
• Build trusted relationships with clients through effective communication, technical expertise and successful project delivery.
• Collaborate with colleagues across WTW practices and global teams to deliver integrated solutions that address broader business challenges.
• Contribute to the development of innovative capital modelling methodologies, intellectual capital and market-leading consulting propositions.
• Support business development activities, including proposal development, client presentations and identifying new growth opportunities.
• Represent WTW in the market through thought leadership, industry engagement and the development of specialist expertise.
• Coach and mentor junior colleagues, fostering collaboration, capability development and team success.

What you’ll bring
 

• Relevant experience in a capital modelling/management role in an insurance firm or consultancy

• An advocate for the use of capital modelling in a business and the adoption of new techniques

• Knowledge of the main capital modelling platforms

• Experience of Igloo software, preferred

• Strong interpersonal and team skills

• Self-starter attitude and ability to work within ambiguity 

• Strong analytical and creative skills

• Enjoy training / mentoring junior staff

• The ability to see the "big picture”, leveraging the resources of related practices to address the clients' business challenges

• Availability to travel on an as needed basis, domestically and internationally
