The Business

 

Create your future.  The Finance function partners with leaders across the Company to support data‑driven decision making and long‑term value creation. Our team serves internal stakeholders across the business by providing insights, forecasts, and financial analysis that help guide strategy, investment decisions, and operational performance.

 

As a Finance / FP&A Intern, you will work closely with business finance partners and analytics teams to support planning, forecasting, and performance management initiatives. This role is designed to provide hands‑on exposure to how finance enables the business.

 

What you will do

 

Coordinating forecasting, budgeting, and consolidated financial analytics; supporting business leaders in meeting financial objectives.

 

Support the finance team with basic financial analyses, such as comparing actual results to budgets or forecasts and helping identify simple trends or drivers.

 

Assist in preparing management reports and presentations by gathering data, updating templates, and helping organize insights for finance partners and business leaders. 

  • Work with structured datasets to clean, organize, and validate information used in forecasts, dashboards, and ad‑hoc analyses. 

  • Help track key business metrics (KPIs) and learn how financial and operational data are used to measure performance. 

  • Contribute to financial models and scenarios by updating assumptions, inputs, or outputs under the guidance of experienced team members.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing financial models, reporting processes, and analytics tools.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) - This role will support the WTW FP&A team by taking on reporting and analytical projects to assist in business and corporate function financial management. Key responsibilities include the following: analyzing P&L trends, preparing key business metrics reports for use by management and functional leads, and collaborating on ways to improve process/efficiency of work product.

Global Business Finance - This role will support the WTW Business Finance team in managing the financial performance of the business, providing insights, reporting, and decision support to help leaders meet their financial and strategic goals. The team ensures that the business makes sound financial decisions by analyzing performance, forecasting results, and partnering closely with operational and commercial teams.

We support interns to develop a broad range of technical and soft skills. This breadth of knowledge across the finance function will allow you to identify which topics you find most interesting and explore them further. There are also opportunities to contribute to extra-curricular projects.

Qualifications

About you. 

  • We are currently seeking candidates who can reside in New York for the summer only

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with a target graduation date of May 2027  

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 and above  

  • A desire and curiosity to learn.

  • Passion for solving problems and sharing solutions.

  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently, but also cooperatively in a close team environment.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.

  • Knowledge of spreadsheet and presentation computer software, for example Microsoft Office or similar.

Compensation and Benefits: 

 

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation The hourly compensation being offered for this role is $22-$25/hour USD.  This role is eligible for overtime.
