This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive Investment team. Your role as a Portfolio Management analyst will be to support portfolio management and related client service activities for discretionary investment accounts. You will be an integral member of the team managing the funds which we use in multi-asset portfolios for our clients. You will have the opportunity to provide positive experience and drive outcomes for our discretionary clients by building knowledge of our processes and leveraging a deep bench of internal teams and resources across Portfolio Management, Client Consulting, Operations, Manager Research, and Asset Research. You will have exposure to the entirety of our investment process and will be supported in the role to develop your portfolio management and asset class knowledge and enhance a broad range of communication and leadership skills.

We welcome the opportunity to discuss your working preferences as we offer flexibility in the role, however we note that regular office attendance of three days per week is a standard requirement.

The Role

Portfolio Management

  • You will be supported to apply your existing experience and knowledge to support a range of activities including:
  • Monitor and manage portfolio exposures and trading/rebalancing activity across both multi-asset and asset class portfolios (such as equities, alternative credit, real assets, and liquid diversifiers), working with Operations as required to ensure accurate and efficient trade execution, settlement, and reporting. 
  • Support investment strategy and asset allocation decisions for the client base, including multi-manager asset class portfolios and liability hedging portfolios.
  • Work with Portfolio Management and Manager / Asset Research Teams to develop proposals for portfolio changes, identifying and following up on areas requiring further analysis or research.
  • Gain exposure and working experience with portfolios of institutional investors, notably defined benefit and defined contribution investors.
  • Support the agenda, create materials, and contribute to discussions at Investment Committee meetings.
  • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams, including responding to internal queries and providing timely updates on portfolio performance and strategy to the wider team.

Qualifications

The Requirements

  • Recent and upcoming graduates and experienced hires are encouraged to apply. 
  • We welcome applicants with any background and work experience, and we expect candidates to demonstrate their interest in financial markets, institutional investing, and investment management.
  • We would like to see resourcefulness, attention to detail, and a desire to expand investment knowledge.
  • Progress or willingness to study towards CFA is strongly preferred. 
  • We are looking for individuals who can deliver timely and high-quality work through a combination of project management and organizational skills, collaboration, and effective oral and written communication.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (namely PowerPoint and Excel) is required.

Compensation and Benefits 

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $70,000 to $90,000 USD per year.

The role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
