    The Business

    Affinity is a line of business within Risk & Broking that supports clients to develop revenues through targeted solutions that help reduce costs, create differentiation, and improve customer retention and satisfaction rates.

    Contribute to enhancing solutions that enable the organisation to achieve its goals. Works with teams to help them understand and improve the effectiveness of their work. Supports the project and programme managers through all phases of the project lifecycle, from conceptual idea through to implementation and benefits realisation. 


    The Role

    2025 Level 4 Business Analyst Apprenticeship

    Closing Date: 21st March 2025

    Start date: 1st September 2025

    Location: Ipswich

    This is an exciting opportunity to undertake an apprenticeship as a Level 4 Business Analyst apprenticeship and develop your career within a global team.

    The chosen candidate will question, investigateand ensure high standards; working alongside local and global members of staff, ensuring the team understand the technical solution and requirements fully, making changes where necessary, and ensuring issue and deadline communication is maintained.

    Key Duties:

    • Challenge and identify process improvements
    • Design, develop, document and implement projects and business improvements
    • Develop support and eLearning materials
    • Support Development of Software Features
    • Document current business processes and assist in development of options and recommendation for change
    • Undertake requirements assessment with stakeholders to identify business and user needs
    • Identify data requirements relating to business improvement
    • Define acceptance criteria for business and system changes and support business acceptance
    • Support demonstrations of new system functionality
    • Support commercial teams during technical pre-sales discussions 
    • Identify and evaluate business improvement opportunities
    • Provide support and guidance through User Acceptance Testing, creation of test scripts, analyse and prioritisation of defects
    • Help ensure projects are delivered within the agreed time, cost and quality parameters

    Training & Qualifications

    This Apprenticeship is an 16-month programme where you will be provided with on the job training and a highly competitive study support package. You will be fully supported by WTW and our official government approved Training Provider throughout the duration of the programme. 

    The successful candidate will acquire a comprehensive skills et enabling them to:

    • Investigate complex business situations
    • Model intricate business processes and data flows
    • Expertly gather and document requirements
    • Conduction in-depth gap analyses
    • Strategically address and mitigate risks
    • Develop through impact assessments for organisational change initiatives

     

    Qualifications

    The Requirements:

    The successful apprentice will have a interest in the world of Business Analytics and really want to develop their knowledge and understanding of key business concepts and techniques that help organisations transform.

    • Level 3 in an STEM/Digital related subject (e.g. A Level, or BTEC Level 3)
    • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) in any subject at grade A-C including Maths and English
    • IT literate 
    • STEM subjects would be beneficial to your application
    • Excellent communications skills written and verbal
    • Ability to travel to the Ipswich office

    You should not have an existing qualification at the same level or higher than this apprenticeship in a similar subject.
