Description
The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing relationships with Affinity partners and commercial clients in New Zealand. This role focuses on delivering exceptional service, driving revenue growth, and ensuring retention through tailored solutions and strategic account management.
The Role
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Affinity partners and commercial clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all client inquiries and escalations.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
- Develop and execute account plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Collaborate with partners to design and implement affinity programs that drive engagement and profitability.
- Monitor program performance and provide regular reporting and insights.
- Manage a portfolio of commercial accounts, ensuring compliance and service excellence.
- Negotiate renewals and terms to maximize retention and profitability.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in NZ.
- Provide feedback to product and marketing teams for continuous improvement.
- Ensure accurate documentation, policy administration, and adherence to company standards.
- Work closely with underwriting, claims, and support teams to deliver seamless service.
Qualifications
The Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years in account management, preferably in insurance or financial services.
- Experience with affinity partnerships and commercial accounts is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with New Zealand insurance market and regulatory environment.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and deliver results.
- Negotiation and influencing skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of insurance products and affinity programs (preferred)
