Actuarial Junior Consultant - Non-Life Insurance

Our Prague office is a regional hub serving clients across Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Western Europe. As part of our Insurance Consulting and Technology team, you will work alongside experienced actuaries on real client projects while building the technical and consulting skills needed for a successful actuarial career.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated graduate or junior actuarial talent to join our growing Non-Life Insurance team in Prague.

From the beginning, you will contribute to projects for local and international insurers. With guidance from experienced colleagues, you will learn how actuarial analysis supports business decisions across areas such as reserving, pricing, product development, risk modelling, M&A and financial and regulatory reporting.

You will gain hands-on experience, develop your technical skills and gradually take on greater responsibility as your confidence and expertise grow.

What you will you do:

• Prepare, validate and analyse insurance data. 
• Support actuarial calculations and build models under the guidance of experienced colleagues. 
• Contribute to non-life reserving, IFRS17 reporting, pricing and risk modelling projects. 
• Help prepare clear analyses, reports and presentations for clients. 
• Work with colleagues across different disciplines and countries. 
• Develop your knowledge of actuarial methods, tools and the non-life insurance market. 
• Participate in internal training and professional development activities.

• Education: A degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Finance, or related field is preferred.
• Skills: Excellent written and spoken communication, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Technical competencies: Strong Excel skills are essential, and experience with R, SQL, PowerShell or Python is a significant advantage. Familiarity with actuarial software (e.g., ResQ) would also be beneficial. 
• Attitude: Strong creative thinking, a collaborative mindset, a passion for teamwork, and willingness to travel occasionally.
• Language: Fluency in English; proficiency in Czech, Slovak, or another CEE language (e.g., Polish, Hungarian, Romanian) is a plus.
