Description

The Client Advocate provides strategic relationship management and advisory service to clients, delivering consultative risk and insurance solutions aligned to their business objectives. This role partners with Producers and/or Senior Client Advocates (SCAs) on large and complex accounts and may independently lead middle market client relationships where a senior account lead is not assigned.

The Client Advocate coordinates and leverages WTW resources to deliver seamless service, effective placement strategies, and integrated risk management solutions aligned to client needs, while ensuring adherence to all regulatory, compliance, and technical standards.

Leveraging deep industry and insurance expertise, the Client Advocate develops and advises on coverage strategies, identifies opportunities to enhance client outcomes, and supports growth through proactive relationship management.

Success in this role requires the ability to deliver exceptional client service in a fast-paced environment, exercise sound judgment, and operate with a high degree of autonomy while fostering strong collaboration across internal teams.

The Role

  • Retain and grow the existing book of business through proactive relationship management and delivery of exceptional client service.
  • Develop and strengthen client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on risk and insurance strategy.
  • Identify, engage, and coordinate WTW resources to deliver a seamless, integrated client experience.
  • Provide strategic planning and consultative advice to clients; monitor evolving insurance and risk management needs in collaboration with WTW broking, practice, and industry groups.
  • Advise on and recommend solutions across the full policy lifecycle, including acquisitions and due diligence activities.
  • Lead the development, negotiation, and execution of client fee and compensation agreements.
  • Design and deliver client-facing materials, including proposals, stewardship/advocacy reports, and client service plans.
  • Drive account profitability while ensuring long-term client retention and satisfaction.
  • Partner with Sales and Broking to stay informed of market trends and positioning to enhance client strategies.
  • Review client contracts to ensure alignment with obligations and risk considerations.
  • Drive the Request for Proposal (RFP) response process, including strategy, coordination across lines of business, and ownership of deliverables.
  • Lead the renewal process by establishing and executing client-specific renewal strategies in collaboration with broking and internal partners.
  • Support insurance program design and strategy by partnering with Broking to leverage appropriate analytical tools.
  • Mentor and support the development of Associate Client Advocates (ACAs) and broader account teams.
  • Perform other duties as identified and appropriate to ensure exceptional client experience

Qualifications

The Requirements

  • 8+ years of commercial Property & Casualty experience in a client facing role or demonstrated ability to perform the responsibilities of the role.
  • Strong knowledge of coverage forms with the ability to analyze program design, identify coverage gaps, and provide ongoing coverage advisory.
  • Ability to interpret, analyze, and present complex analytical models and insights.
  • Proven relationship management skills, with the ability to leverage internal and external relationships to deliver tailored client solutions and effectively navigate conflict.
  • Advanced negotiation skills, including structuring complex solutions, building consensus across stakeholders, and driving successful outcomes.
  • Strong business acumen, including understanding of client strategies, market dynamics, and risk solutions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the end-to-end insurance renewal process, including key steps, stakeholders, and timelines.
  • Demonstrated business development capability, including identifying and advancing growth opportunities within client relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to lead presentations and facilitate complex or technical discussions.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead large, complex, and multi-dimensional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated leadership and influence skills, including the ability to guide teams, drive accountability, and support change initiatives.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with adaptability and openness to feedback.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to developing innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with relevant business and analytical tools.
  • Property & Casualty license required, with completion of continuing education requirements.
  • Construction Industry experience preferred
  • Professional insurance designations preferred but not required (CPCU, ARM, CIC, CRIS, CRM)
  • Periodic travel is required.

Compensation and Benefits 

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

 

Compensation 

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $140,000.00-$180, 000.00 USD annually.

 

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
