Description

We’re looking for a Data Analyst to help drive and enhance reporting across the GB Retail Facilities Team. You’ll enjoy working with large, complex datasets—turning them into clear, accurate management information (MI) packs, dashboards and insight that supports decision-making. The role will suit someone who is naturally curious, comfortable challenging data quality, and motivated to automate and streamline reporting to reduce manual manipulation

The Role

•    Own and enhance the Facilities reporting suite: recurring MI packs, performance dashboards and insight outputs.
•    Extract, cleanse, transform and reconcile data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency and auditability.
•    Build and maintain robust data models and reporting logic (definitions, calculations, assumptions and controls).
•    Produce clear analysis and commentary, highlighting trends, exceptions, risks/opportunities and insights for stakeholders.
•    Develop and improve dashboards and visualizations.
•    Partner with stakeholders across the GB Retail Facilities Team to understand reporting needs, translate requirements into outputs, and iterate based on feedback.
•    Drive automation and continuous improvement—streamlining processes to reduce reliance on manual spreadsheets and repetitive data manipulation.
•    Establish and monitor data quality checks (e.g. completeness, validity, duplication, outliers) and propose fixes to upstream data issues.
•    Produce supporting documentation (data dictionaries, report specifications, process notes) to enable resilience and continuity.
•    Support ad-hoc analysis requests, deep-dives and presentations of findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

What you'll bring

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience manipulating large/complex datasets and producing accurate MI/reporting outputs.
  • Strong analytical capability with excellent attention to detail and a clear approach to validation/reconciliation.
  • Advanced Excel capability (e.g., Power Query, pivots, complex formulas; comfort working with messy data).
  • Experience building dashboards and visualizations and presenting findings in a clear, stakeholder-friendly way.
  • Experience using AI enabled tools or techniques to support data analysis, reporting, automation, or insight generation
  • Ability to organize and priorities multiple deliverables in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Power BI (creating interactive reports/dashboards and data modelling).
  • Experience with SQL and/or a scripting language (e.g., Python) for data transformation/automation.
  • Exposure to automation tooling (e.g., Power Automate) and modern MI engineering approaches.
  • Understanding of insurance/broking or financial/operational MI (helpful but not required)
