Head of Office- Gibraltar Captive Management
Supporting the Regional Managing Director, Europe & GB, Captive Management - delivers directional management including financial and operational responsibility for Gibraltar and adherence to Group standards. Implement marketing strategy set by Regional Managing Director. Client servicing and market relationship involvement as required.
The Role
Manager of People:
Responsible for leading, managing, motivating and developing the skills, competencies and knowledge of team members in line with Group HR policies and procedures, including overseeing and managing of staff appraisals and objective setting
Maintain staff competence by ensuring that staff skills and/or knowledge gaps are met with appropriate training and development so they are able to perform to their maximum capability and fulfil their potential and the requirements of the business
Establish an environment that promotes respect for the individual employee and adheres to the policies and guidelines of the company
Work with HR to recruit staff with the correct level of skills and competencies, adhering to the company’s recruitment procedures and best practices
Manage the performance of your team ensuring staff have clear pre-set objectives and get regular feedback on their performance, ensure performance appraisals are conducted in line with the firms’ standards
Provide leadership, direction, advice and guidance to the team maintaining high levels of integrity, motivation and morale
Development of business
Along with the team, and in line with the Captive & Insurance Management Solutions (CIMS) growth strategy, develop and lead the strategic development and delivery of Gibraltar to ensure sustainable, profitable growth
Form part of the CIMS Business development team with a view to ensuring that there is always a pipeline for the Gibraltar office.
Support the Regional Managing Director in sales effectiveness within the Group
Take ownership of the budget and ensure that budgets are met
Geographic Scope of Role:
The role will be Gibraltar based.
Conduct Risk:
To ensure that all Associates that he/she manages are adequately trained and competent to enable them to be successful in putting the interests of clients and the integrity of the market at the heart of the way they do business
Revenue and Cost Responsibilities:
Responsible for the annual budget set for office.
Principal Duties/Responsibilities
Assisting the Leader and along with the other team members, developing and leading the strategic development and delivery of Gibraltar to ensure sustainable, profitable growth
- Act as the primary contact with the Gibraltar Regulator, the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission
- Budgets and forecasting responsibility
Client service and retention: implement Client Account strategy and regularly review client satisfaction and ‘senior face of WTW’
Support the Leader in sales effectiveness within the Group
Challenging differentiation, product/service enhancement and development
Internal networking Business Unit stakeholders
Client relationships and troubleshooting matters arising
Accountability for all matters operational: employees, training, compliance, process
Deliver a robust first line of defence through the use of embedded systems and controls and compliance with all applicable laws, regulatory requirements and associated procedures and adherence to WEM
Maintain Enterprise Risk Management framework
Support Leader’s marketing plans for office including the delivery of consultancy projects from time to time.
Ensure IT & Tech is fully embraced within the office.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Holds all regulatory licences, permissions and technical or other requirements applicable under local legislation and regulatory rules and guidelines.
- Based in Gibraltar, with requirement to travel to other locations as required.
