Description
As a Business Analyst, you will support Pension Outsourcing client delivery by translating business needs into system requirements, configuration, testing activities, and operational solutions. You will work closely with clients, Business Analysts, developers, Pension Administration teams, and other stakeholders to deliver accurate, high-quality work within defined scope, timelines, and budget expectations. You will also contribute to process improvements, knowledge sharing, and the continued evolution of system and business analysis best practices.
Clients
- Establish and maintain effective client relationships by understanding client needs, expectations, and how the system supports their business processes.
- Inform clients and project teams on system functionality, available options, best practices, and related impacts.
- Work with internal and external client teams to clarify business requirements and document system solutions.
- Support clients in evaluating and adopting new features, tools, and approaches through consultation, training, and solution walkthroughs.
- Understand the statement of work and system scope, identify potential out-of-scope work, and bring those instances to the project team's attention in a timely manner.
- Assist with effort estimates and identifying work and hours needed to support change order development.
Domain Knowledge and Delivery
- Demonstrate strong understanding of the core application, including functionality, available options, underlying database structure, and business process flows.
- Define complex system configuration, table updates, reporting requirements, and related documentation.
- Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test plans for system components, including web applications, data imports, batch processes, reports, and extracts.
- Coordinate testing issues with developers and other stakeholders and drive identified defects through resolution.
- Perform impact analysis, regression testing, and validation activities related to system enhancements, releases, and production support.
- Partner with Pension Administration and Retirement teams to understand operational processes and ensure system solutions align with business needs.
- Ensure business analysis deliverables, configuration activities, and testing activities meet established quality standards and project timelines.
- Participate in release, implementation, and production support activities as needed.
Problem Solving and Requirements
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into system specifications, configuration requirements, and testing approaches.
- Create and execute database queries based on an understanding of the underlying data model.
- Assist senior Business Analysts in analyzing requests and providing solutions for medium to high complexity issues.
- Ensure development requests include complete requirements, specification updates, and appropriate test scenarios.
- Identify risks, gaps, dependencies, and potential impacts associated with proposed system changes and communicate them appropriately.
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
- Work collaboratively with Business Analysts, developers, project managers, Pension Administration teams, and client teams to deliver successful outcomes.
- Provide guidance, technical assistance, and knowledge sharing to colleagues on system functionality, business processes, and client-specific requirements.
- Contribute to the development and adoption of standardized work processes, tools, methodologies, and best practices that improve quality, consistency, and efficiency.
- Participate in business analysis, system, and line-of-business initiatives designed to improve delivery effectiveness and client outcomes.
- Support onboarding, training, and mentoring activities for new or less experienced team members when appropriate.
Financial and Delivery Management
- Assist in estimating effort for configuration, testing, and analysis activities.
- Support project teams in meeting delivery, budget, and profitability objectives.
- Identify and communicate potential scope changes, project risks, and delivery impacts to project leadership.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in benefits and/or outsourcing engagements in a Pension Outsourcing system development environment.
- Ability to understand system scope, identify potential out-of-scope work, and communicate impacts to project teams.
- Experience gathering, documenting, and analyzing business and system requirements.
- Ability to define complex system configuration, table updates, reporting requirements, and supporting documentation.
- Demonstrated experience with, and commitment to, leveraging AI tools to enhance software delivery quality and efficiency.
- Experience creating, reviewing, and executing test plans, including component, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing activities.
- Ability to create and execute data queries based on an understanding of relational data models; experience with SQL, Oracle, Access, or similar relational database technologies is required.
- Strong analytical, technical, integrative, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively across geographically dispersed and cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to provide coaching, technical guidance, and mentoring to colleagues.
- Commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Strong attention to detail, follow-through, organization skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of technical, business, and relevant work experience required, with 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or in a related role.

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 USD annually.
This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
