Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented professional to support our team across two distinct areas of expertise: Support Stop-loss and Support Fleet. Each domain has its own focus, responsibilities, and specialist activities, yet both contribute to delivering high‑quality services to our corporate clients and insurer partners.
Support Stop-loss
In this role, you will work closely with the Practice Leader to maintain and expand relationships with automotive underwriters, with a primary focus on large and complex fleet portfolios. You will develop in‑depth knowledge of Belgian, and ideally also EU, motor insurance legislation. You continuously monitor market developments and assess their impact on insurance solutions, requirements, and claims processes.
Responsibilities
Relationship management & market knowledge
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with automotive underwriters, focusing on large and complex fleet portfolios;
- Build thorough knowledge of Belgian (and preferably EU) motor insurance legislation;
- Monitor market changes and evaluate their impact on insurance solutions, requirements, and claims handling.
Stop-loss & pre-financing responsibilities
- Understand, design, and (co‑)calculate stop-loss structures, including key steps, critical considerations, and potential discrepancies;
- Work independently throughout the stop‑loss process: ask the right questions, gather required information, and perform detailed analyses;
- Clearly identify client needs and consolidate data from different sources into a single dataset (strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, are essential);
- Engage with insurers experienced in stop‑loss solutions; gather, interpret, and integrate their input;
- Compare proposals, develop alternative scenarios, and present solution overviews clearly to clients;
- Provide well‑founded recommendations to help clients select the best possible stop‑loss solution.
Support Fleet
As Support Fleet, you are responsible for managing the vehicle fleets of our major corporate clients. You ensure that their interests are represented in the best possible way, considering all applicable agreements and conventions. You provide customer‑friendly service, follow up files accurately, and collaborate closely with the Account Manager.
Your tasks
End‑to‑end fleet portfolio management
- Enter policy and insurance agreement data into our systems;
- Ensure the digital customer file is always complete and up to date;
- Register all changes related to coverages and vehicles, and handle corresponding invoicing;
- Maintain frequent contact with insurers and take responsibility for tariff negotiations.
Collaboration & advisory role
- Together with the Account Manager, you form a “winning team” focused on both retaining and growing our fleet customer portfolio.
- As a strong communicator, you enjoy responding to technical production‑related questions from clients, colleagues, and Account Managers.
- You actively contribute to identifying suitable solutions and ensuring an excellent client experience.
Qualifications
The requirements
- You have a relevant education at a Bachelor/academic level;
- You preferably have 5 years of experience in a client-facing and/or broking role within the insurance industry, specifically in the Belgian market;
- You possess excellent negotiation skills, enabling you to negotiate convincingly and result-oriented to achieve positive outcomes;
- A client-driven and solution-minded team player with strong communication and commercial skills;
- You are service-oriented, flexible, and proactive;
- You have an excellent command of Dutch, French and English for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
