Japan HR Lead

We are seeking a thoughtful and experienced Human Resources leader to help shape a thriving workplace in Japan. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, guiding them through local employment practices and fostering a culture of inclusion, growth, and operational excellence.

The Role

• Champion employee relations and foster a positive workplace culture
• Guide leaders through local employment regulations and Human Resources best practices
• Represent Human Resources in key business meetings and decision-making forums
• Support talent development and streamline Human Resources processes for efficiency
• Provide thoughtful advice on complex employee cases and transitions
• Partner with global teams to roll out enterprise-wide Human Resources programs
• Lead recruitment efforts for specialised roles and support hiring managers
• Offer insights into compensation and benefits to ensure market competitiveness
• Contribute to annual performance and compensation review cycles
• Lead and mentor an HR Administrator

The Responsibilities

• Extensive experience in Human Resources leadership, especially within Japan
• A strong understanding of local employment laws and practices
• Proven ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders
• Experience supporting organisational change and transformation
• Clear and confident communication skills in English and Japanese
• Comfort working in dynamic, fast-paced environments
• A collaborative mindset and a passion for inclusive leadership
