    Description

We are hiring for a DC Pensions Projects Team Leader for our DC Master Trust - Lifesight. LifeSight, WTW’s DC master trust, represents one of our biggest business growth opportunities in the UK. We expect LifeSight to become one of the largest UK pension plans in terms of assets under management. We have secured in excess of £20bn of assets under management and over 400,000 members with a pipeline which will enable us to grow this exponentially over the coming years.

The DC Pensions Projects Team Leader will be responsible for supporting the LifeSight Projects team delivery, particularly BAU project work such as scheme events and Client driven projects. This role will support a team of project administrators, collaborating with different areas of the business.

At WTW, we trust you to know your work and the people, tools and environment you need to be successful. The majority of our colleagues work in a ”hybrid” style, with a mix of remote, in-person and in-office interactions dependent on the needs of the team, role and clients. Our flexibility is rooted in trust and “hybrid” is not a one-size-fits-all solution.

    • Support the Administration and Operations managers to scope and plan for future project needs, resource and deliverables.

    • Support the day-to-day activities of the team with technical oversight for complex requirements.
    • Support the implementation and development of project process improvements and support a continuous improvement environment
    • Build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
    • Manage a team of Pensions Project administrators including allocation and peer review of work, reviewing performance, coaching and identifying training needs and providing line management support through regular check points and 1:1s.
    • To mentor/coach colleagues in their career development.
    • Attending trustee/client meetings as required and participating in new business presentations.
    • Identify and scope all billable work and ensuring fulfillment in line with the LifeSight charging structure.
    • Keeping up to date with changes in pensions legislation.

    Qualifications

    The Requirements

    • Experience in a leadership or management role in the pensions industry.
    • Collaborative management style, self-aware with the ability to adapt style as necessary.
    • Experience of dealing with occupational Defined Contribution pension schemes admin and/or DC Master Trust.
    • Previous experience in managing portfolios or projects or managing a team of Pension Administrators
    • Demonstrable problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative/drive.
    • A strong leader and negotiator, with good influencing skills.
    • Critical thinking to facilitate more in-depth discussions.
    • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
    • The aptitude to learn, value add and benefit realization understanding, with the LifeSight vision in mind.
    • Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
    • Prince2 qualification or equivalent desirable, but not essential.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to cross-check and ensure accuracy of detailed documents.
    • Ability to thrive and drive delivery in a busy, demanding and changing environment.

At WTW, we believe difference makes us stronger. We want our workforce to reflect the different and varied markets we operate in and to build a culture of inclusivity that makes colleagues feel welcome, valued and empowered to bring their whole selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive work environment throughout our organisation. We embrace all types of diversity.
