    Description

    This role will partner with the leaders of the business in Mexico. The role serves as trusted business partner to implement best practices and manage initiatives to support business strategy and growth through successful delivery of the HR agenda.

    This role will involve working closely with the HR Centres of Expertise (COEs), Talent Advisors and HR Services to manage employee relations, HR operations, organisational effectiveness, performance management, talent development and total rewards whilst ensuring seamless delivery to the client.

    The Role

    Integration & Change Management:

    • Manage and oversee the HR function in Mexico 
    • Provide guidance on organisational design and relevant HR change management matters, ensuring the smooth on-boarding and training support for colleagues
    • Establish and embed HR solutions and ways of working while continuously improving service levels

    HR Partnering

    • HR partner to Mexico´s Country Head and Leadership team.
    • Overall accountability for management of HR matters relating to the Mexico Teams and people
    • Train managers on a wide range of HR related topics including performance management, the rollout of new HR programs and policies, etc.
    • Work closely with the business to deliver on the annual performance and compensation process.

    Employee Relations:

    • Provide case management advice on key areas such as disciplinary, performance management, redundancy, long-term illness, and other ER issues. Provide guidance to colleagues and to people manager to ensure successful outcomes that balance risk and business cost.
    • Work with managers to provide effective coaching on managing performance and disciplinary issues, ensuring actions meet company and legislative requirements.
    • Negotiate exit agreements, taking legal advice on more complex cases.
    • Ensure adherence to unique jurisdictional requirements and monitor issues for continuous improvement of employment practices and/or processes.

    Performance and Talent Development

    • Implement talent programmes, providing guidance and counsel to local leaders. This includes matters related to talent development, organisational change, employee engagement.
    • Work with leaders to champion the performance review process and to reinforce the objectives and expected outcomes of the process
    • Support the development of colleagues, including conducting annual training needs analysis, identifying appropriate training (re)sources – including links to core curriculum, conduct training where appropriate.
    • Oversee internal movement of colleagues, including transfers/relocations and promotions.

    Total Rewards

    • Manage the annual salary, bonus and level change process. 
    • Assist managers and leaders in compensation and level determinations and related communications to required governance standards.
    • Coordinate with the Compensation and Benefits teams to provide data and advice relating to competitiveness of Reward offering – salary range development, market benchmarking, etc.

    Qualifications

    The Requirements

    • A proven track record as a HR Partner providing a commercially focused and pragmatic support to business leaders.
    • Experience of working within a global corporate environment
    • Strong evidence of partnering with senior business leaders on employee relation issues and effective stakeholder management.
    • Experience of managing restructure projects and change management initiatives would be an advantage.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English and the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels.
    • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing and rapidly changing priorities.
    • Ability to work independently and operate well in a team.
    • Understanding and experience of operating in a Global matrix environment.
