    Description

    The Role

    From day one, you will have opportunities to lead the claims services group in support of our construction and natural resources businesses and provide strategic and technical coverage advice to our most valuable clients to help them manage their claims and risk. You will also support our local, in-country claims teams in providing advocacy and related claims and advisory services to assist them in their achieving maximum results across their portfolio of pending claims and to monetize those services wherever possible.  You will also assist the Head of Claims in the region in the administrative, operation and management of the WTW Asia Claims Group.

    As Senior Claims Advocate – Construction & Natural Resources, Asia your key responsibility will be to provide claims advocacy, claims strategy, claims resolution and risk advisory services to our construction and natural resources across the region to assist them in optimizing the results they achieve under their insurance programs.  You will also.

    You’ll be working on real client claims performing the following tasks:

    • Managing and/or supervising complex negotiations with insurers to ensure the optimization of claim outcomes for our clients in an efficient manner.
    • To assist in construction and natural resources claims management, provide leadership to the claims group and assist colleagues with training.
    • Participate in the construction and natural resources claims element of tender and RFP responses for major clients and prospects.
    • Promote revenue growth for claims advocacy and advisory services for the construction and natural resources claims groups and work towards revenue targets.
    • Maintain and develop strong relationships with regional and country advocacy and claims management teams to drive claims operations changes within WTW.
    • Contribute to improve claims management and operations efficiency across the region.
    • Report on claims results, trends and issues to the regional Head of Claims and senior/global management where appropriate.

    Qualifications

    The Requirements

    We are looking for highly driven with solid technical experience and interpersonal skills. A colleague looking to join in a growing and dynamic organization.  This includes the following: 

    • Bachelor degree or equivalent in any discipline 
    • Holds BCP and ComGI, or relevant certifications 
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in insurance claims across the construction or natural resources lines of business (but preferably both).
    • Possess solid insurance brokerage (or related insurance claims/legal), account management, servicing and sales skills.
    • Experience of working with large, corporate or multinational accounts is beneficial.
    • Drive a culture that promotes excellence, collaboration and client service.
    • Proven ability to being responsive to a broad range of stakeholders.
    • Ability to effectively advocate on behalf of clients and advise them on all aspects of insurance coverage and claims
    • Highly effective communicator (written, verbal, presentation, training)
    • Established strong relationships with customers, insurers and intermediaries.
    • Demonstrates an excellent grasp of trends and developments of claims, ability to identify trends and loss causes, along with insurance solutions for these risks to clients in the construction and natural resources
    • Proven record of advocacy and monetization these and related claims services.
