Achieving a healthy work life balance is a priority for many professionals, and at WTW, it’s a core aspect of the company’s culture.

A supportive environment that values flexibility and open communication empowers employees to thrive personally and professionally. Ingrid and Catheleyne share how WTW has helped them balance their lives while fostering growth.

WTW supports Ingrid as a new mother

Ingrid Ang, Divisional Director, Asia Marine Cargo, Corporate Risk & Broking and a new mother, highlights how flexible work options have been instrumental in managing her responsibilities. “Flexible work arrangements allow me to balance work commitments and family duties. The culture of trust ensures I can adjust my schedule to my needs and openly share my requirements without fear of judgment,” she explains.

Setting “blackout periods” in the evenings helps her focus on family, while understanding colleagues and clients reduce stress and support her priorities.

WTW also supports professional growth alongside personal commitments. “After maternity leave, I became a people manager without compromising on flexibility. A supportive team and leadership enabled me to disconnect when needed and focus on my family,” she shares.

Catheleyne enjoys WTW flexible work arrangements

Catheleyne Van Erp, Director, Investments BeNeLux

Catheleyne Van Erp, Head of Growth Western Europe, reflects on how WTW’s emphasis on balance has impacted her life. “Work life balance isn’t just a goal; it’s embedded in WTW’s DNA. A team-focused culture, open communication and shared workload help me prioritize my objectives while staying connected,” she says.

Flexible work arrangements, including remote work and smart technology tools, allow her to accommodate family commitments, like taking her children to school. She also limits email checks after work hours and values the respect for personal time during holidays, which enhances her performance.

“WTW’s leadership fosters this balance by prioritizing personal situations over business demands in times of need. This along with regular check-ins on our wellbeing and a culture of empathy create trust and security, ensuring I can excel without compromising my personal life,” she adds.
