About the Team

Proposal Support Centre of Excellence (CoE) Overview

The Proposal Support Centre of Excellence (CoE) empowers growth by transforming ideas into impactful proposals—delivered with precision, creativity, and purpose.

Established in 2020 with a single team member, the Centre of Excellence initially supported the Great Britain region by providing foundational assistance across requests for proposals, and questionnaires.

Since then, the team has significantly expanded in both scale and capability. Today, the Centre of Excellence comprises 11 skilled professionals supporting multiple regions, including Western Europe, Great Britain, North America (United States. & Canada), and Saudi Arabia.

From partnering with just three stakeholders at inception, we now collaborate with a broad global network, playing a pivotal role in delivering client‑focused, high‑quality proposals that support business growth, retention, and success.

 

Job Summary

Your primary role is to provide End to End Bid Management support for large/complex and strategic bids from our Natural Resources Division. This is a full-time position requiring an individual who is comfortable providing effective and timely responses to Requests for Proposal (RFP) and used to working flexibly to align to business needs.  The role is focused on supporting the Global Bid Director in responding to high profile bids, providing the opportunity to work with business units globally and supporting Great Britain Sales team in capturing new business through successful Request for Proposal submissions. The position will be in Mumbai, India through which you will be part of the global Natural Resources Bid Team, working closely with the Bid Director and Senior Desktop publisher.

 

Principal Duties/Responsibilities

As Proposal Support Centre of Excellence resource, your primary role is to support effective and timely responses to Requests for Proposal (RFP), working with the Great Britain Sales team. You will support coordination and management of proposals / projects on an assigned basis directly by the Great Britain Sales team and Subject Matter Experts (including market sellers, sales leadership, sales support, bid managers to ensure appropriate strategies used accurately meet the objectives of the Request for Proposal. You will be the owner of the tasks assigned and would be expected to be proactive in sharing updates ensuring success to the bid management process. You may also be involved in producing Requests for Information (RFI) reports, capability documents and other supporting materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce responses to Requests for Information and Request for Proposal from existing and prospective clients, focused on the parts assigned by the Natural Resources Bid Director  
  • Be a “rapid response/help desk” to the wider business providing source information at short notice
  • Work on creating appealing and best in industry standard submission documents which are ‘client ready’ to be submitted by WTW.
  • Maintain and use database of best practice proposal boilerplate & ready to use standard materials.
  • Support throughout the t entire bid process - assist in organizing, initiating, managing, and tracking proposal-related activities.
  • Management information – Design, track and maintain bid related reports, 
  • Assist in developing the bid project plan for solution design activities and/or proposal preparation activities – Kick-off Meeting, Proposal Schedule/Outline, Follow-up, and Review Meetings
  • Remain highly organized and able to document, categorize, and file all sources of input
  • Coordinate with members of the bid team to produce deliverables according to client expectations and deadlines.
  • Submit work for peer review as well as review the work of peers.
  • Provide back up for other team members as needed.
  • Attend internal project meetings to ensure project continuity is ongoing.
  • Archive submitted proposals and maintained an inventory listing of all completed proposals.
  • Act as the primary support to the Natural Resources Bid Director for the day-to-day point of contact for assigned Request for Proposal (RFP) and technical / related questionnaire work, communicate effectively with contacts and business stakeholders, take responsibility for the effective execution and delivery of agreed plans that support work completion as part of the onshore team.
  • Take initiative to proactively share knowledge and / or experience with team members.
  • Develop strong working relationships and foster collaboration with colleagues on the Request for Proposal team. 
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the team to meet internal and prospect/client objectives.
  • Provide input where required for the development of the team, performance reporting and operational excellence efforts.
  • Attain productivity targets and complete the work using suggested approach and in the recommended timing.

 

Required Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, Experience

 

Experience

  • Preferable from a finance background, ideally with an insurance broker/insurer

     

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in bid support with 2-3 years being in a bid/proposal management role or proposal writing (bid responses or related writing experience preferred)
  • Working knowledge of web-based technology solutions supporting bid management and Request for Proposal document creation process
  • Project management skills required; ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict deadlines is a must.
  • Exposure to report creation and effectiveness analysis preferred.
  • Sound experience and self-sufficient in working in especially Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat.  Experience in other related applications/tools will be useful but not essentials.

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree is a must
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or another related field desired.
