Description
The Regional Operations and Project Manager for Asia will have overall responsibility for the principle areas:
- Transform Operations Management – Support countries in Asia to transform their operational processes so that their broking operations are simplified, automatic, productive and efficient by using GEN AI, Automation and other continuous process improvement opportunities.
- Operational Risk - work in partnership with broking colleagues, compliance, ERM, legal, IA and other corporate functions to enhance our processes, procedures, data quality, 1st line controls practice (inc. the training thereof). To include operational manual, sample checks, KYC and other local operational regulatory controls and reporting. Ensure alignment to global standards.
- Projects – Lead and deliver regional projects, including planning, execution, monitoring and reporting. Will include projects for strategic priorities, risk management, new product execution, process improvement, integration, gen AI, Automation etc
- Other Operational execution or support – lead and execute on specific strategic operational topics as prioritized by leader
Key Responsibilities include:
- Participate as member of regional Ops team, to work with in country Operations team to transform their operational processes to deliver simplified, automatic, productive and efficient operational processes. This includes implementation of SOPs, sharing of best practices, Gen AI, automation initiatives, Power BI reporting, Document management etc
- Work with Regional Operational risk leader and other risk functions, to support the delivery, implementation, control and reporting of operational risk controls in first line of control. Ensure alignment to global standards. This includes operational manual, standard templates, KYC, sample checks etc.
- Lead and implement global, regional and local country operational projects, ensuring complete change management and successful project completion
- Be familiar with all core IT systems for full understanding of end-to-end operational processes
- Identify, prioritize and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize client, broker and colleague’s experiences
Qualifications
The Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s level degree, preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Insurance or Insurance Broking operations.
- Basic knowledge on risk management, compliance will be an advantage
- Excellent project management and business analyst skills, ensuring they meet business objectives and are completed on time and on budget
- Experience on Gen AI, Power Automation and Power BI skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to influence / coach / manage stakeholders across the organization to get things done.
- High levels of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) - including self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy and social skills. Actively listens – makes people feel heard and understood. Shows respect and acts in ways that builds trust and respect.
- A strong personal desire to achieve excellence.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and structure workload.
- Strategic thinker who can decompose complex issues & find solutions
- Accreditation or demonstrated knowledge of change management, process improvement (Lean/Six Sigma), quality management or KPIs.
- Understanding or experience of working in partnership with other support functions, e.g. Sales, HR, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal
- Ability to speak at least one Asia language
