    Description

    We are seeking a qualified and motivated Account Manager who demonstrates a passion in partnering the Education sector, to join our Affinity (Education) team in the Melbourne office. 

    The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of client servicing focusing on our prestigious Education program and managing client relationships together with partnering peak bodies and valued partners in this sector. Demonstrating exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills, the successful candidate will work with leaders in managing both new and established portfolios to contribute to the continued growth an existing book of business.

    The Role

    As a member of a high-performing team, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Developing and maintaining business relationships with new and existing clients and insurers
    • Leveraging your experience, which is underpinned by your understanding, of willingness to learn of the unique risks and business requirements faced by providers and stakeholders within the Education sector.
    • Provision of general insurance and risk advice to senior client representatives.
    • Identifying insurable risks and designing and negotiating appropriate insurance solutions for clients in the Education sector. 
    • Collaborating with local and international colleagues and teams in support of expanding our global Education value proposition. 
    • Promoting the WTW brand within the insurance industry both locally and internationally.

    Qualifications

    The Requirements

    • You have experience as an Account Manager gained within the insurance or insurance broking industry. Experience in the Education sector will be highly regarded.
    • You have a proven ability to understand and meet a client’s needs 
    • You have strong report writing skills and the ability to prepare thought leadership publications
    • Your excellent writing skills are supported by a reasonable level of competency in Word and Excel and knowledge of PowerPoint 
    • Your oral and written communication skills are outstanding.  Whether you are communicating one-on-one, or to a group, your exceptional interpersonal skills ensure you stand out from the crowd
    • You have the Tier 1 (insurance broking) qualification and demonstrated commercial acumen
    • Your time management skills keep you ahead of your schedule and workload
    • You remain measured and composed in stressful situations
    • We’ll love your drive, ambition and focus on excellence
    • Your personal presentation will set you apart when you walk through the door
