BSTS- Category Manager Technology Consulting

As a Category Manager for Technology Consulting (IT Services) you will work with WTW across the business for the procurement of Technology Consulting Services.  You will work with the Technology Consulting Category Lead to manage relationships with key stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor to partner on procurement related matters for the organisation.

Strong procurement knowledge of Technology Consulting/Professional Services Procurement is essential, as well as having a detailed understanding of the latest market trends and insights for your category whilst keeping pace with the evolving Professional Services and IT Services 3rd party landscape.

WTW work in a fast-moving global environment and so the ability to adapt to deadlines and urgent requirements is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the Technology Consulting Category plan addressing short, mid and long-term business goals and objectives
• Directly supporting assigned global business stakeholders with effective end to end procurement 
• Take ownership of one or more sub-category areas, manage contracts and suppliers associated to the area(s).
• Identify and support new opportunities to address category spend
• Keen attention to detail especially in reviewing statement of works from a Procurement point of view
• Manage key sourcing processes and negotiate best commercial and contractual terms

Requirements

• 5+ years of Technology Consulting and/or professional services procurement experience
• Good knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Both a strategic and analytical mind-set
• Creativity to seek and implement new approaches to procurement challenges
• Ability to articulate procurement’s value to the wider business
• High level commercial and contractual negotiation skills
• A good working knowledge of procurement systems and P2P processes
