    Description

Willis Towers Watson has a long track record of transforming the insurance market. With the ongoing digitisation of the commercial insurance market, we are looking for someone to join our team to help lead the development of our software propositions for commercial insurance clients. The successful candidate will work beside some of the market’s top thought leaders designing and implementing the latest solutions to challenges faced by the world’s top commercial insurers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the development of software propositions for commercial insurance clients, ensuring solutions align with underwriter and pricing team needs rather than just technical capabilities.
    • Act as a key leader in the software product development team, working in a matrixed environment to drive execution. While this is an individual contributor role, the position will coordinate with consultants and specialists across global teams.
    • Work closely with our global consulting team to develop integrated consulting and technology solutions for insurers.
    • Provide market insights and expertise to inform product development and enhance the customer journey. This includes advising on underwriting workflows, automation, portfolio management, and pricing optimization.
    • Drive continuous improvement and innovation for the Radar Fusion software suite, with input into the broader Radar platform and other insurance technology solutions.
    • Serve as a key advisor and advocate for our business, providing insights on best practices, emerging trends, and client needs.
    • This is a highly strategic role requiring both execution and advisory capabilities—balancing hands-on program management with high-level strategy and thought leadership.

    Qualifications

    Preferred but Not Required:

    • Ability to represent the business in market-facing opportunities, including industry events.  (This is not a required component, but a great opportunity for those with an interest in external engagement.)

    Required skills and experience

    • Deep understanding of commercial lines underwriting workflows, common pain points, process optimization, and how technology can enhance underwriting decision-making.
    • Strong understanding of the US commercial lines industry, key lines of business and the regulatory environment
    • Ability to manage and track multiple initiatives, ensuring execution aligns with strategic priorities and stakeholder expectations
    • A key part of your role is ensuring that underwriting needs are properly translated into software development and feature design
    • Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders to gather market insights and ensure technology solutions align with business needs.
    • Proven ability to influence and align cross-functional teams across underwriting, technology, operations, and finance to drive execution and business outcomes.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate underwriting concepts to non-expert audiences
    • Be highly adaptable and a fast learner, with the ability to quickly understand new tools, workflows, and business needs.
    • Have a strong focus on execution, collaboration, and client impact.

Note that visa employment-based non-immigrant visa sponsorship and/or assistance is not offered for this specific job opportunity.

    Compensation:

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.

    Company Benefits:

WTW provides a competitive benefit package which includes the following (eligibility requirements apply):

    • Health and Welfare Benefits: Medical (including prescription coverage), Dental, Vision, Health Savings Account, Commuter Account, Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Group Accident, Group Critical Illness, Life Insurance, AD&D, Group Legal, Identify Theft Protection, Wellbeing Program and Work/Life Resources (including Employee Assistance Program)
    • Leave Benefits: Paid Holidays, Annual Paid Time Off (includes paid state/local paid leave where required), Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Other Leaves (e.g., Bereavement, FMLA, ADA, Jury Duty, Military Leave, and Parental and Adoption Leave), Paid Time Off
