Monica D'Silva, who works in Real Estate and Workplace Solutions in India, values the energy that comes from being together in person. Working from the office allows her to collaborate closely with colleagues, make faster decisions and build stronger relationships with clients. For Monica, it also creates a clear separation between work and home life, helping her stay focused throughout the day.

For others, the flexibility of hybrid working helps them balance different priorities. Joana Cereja, who works in Portugal, describes how the importance of flexibility has evolved alongside her life and career. "When I joined in 2012, I was a new graduate. My life has changed a lot in the last 10 years." Now a parent, Joana values having a workplace that gives her the flexibility to adapt as her personal circumstances evolve.
While every experience is different, the reason flexibility works is consistent. There is no "one-size-fits-all" approach to where and how work gets done. Instead, our colleagues work with their managers to determine the work style that enables them to be most effective. That approach is built on trust.
For 8 John Volante, who is based in the Philippines, "The flexibility that WTW has afforded me enables me to be smart with my time and intentional about my plans." This allows him to balance family commitments, personal well-being and opportunities to connect with colleagues in person.
As Donna Ramos, also based in the Philippines, explains: "It's not about being confined to a schedule. As long as you're able to deliver and make sure everything's covered." That trust also creates space for life outside work.
