Description

As a Director - Compliance Consultant you will lead complex Health & Benefits compliance engagements while serving as a trusted advisor to large, sophisticated employers. You will provide strategic interpretation of federal and state regulations and translate evolving compliance requirements into practical, client-ready solutions. This role partners closely with Client Service Teams and other Communities of Expertise to embed compliance into broader benefit strategies and support the continued evolution of WTW’s compliance consulting capabilities. 

 

The Role 

  • Serve as lead consultant and trusted advisor on complex Health & Benefits compliance engagements
  • Interpret and apply federal and state regulations (e.g., ACA, MHPAEA, HIPAA, IRC, ERISA, transparency) to client programs
  • Anticipate emerging compliance risks and proactively advise clients on mitigation strategies
  • Lead or support client engagements and major compliance workstreams
  • Support project teams, Client Service Teams (CST), and Global Delivery Centers (GDCs) on compliance deliverables
  • Conduct final excellence and compliance reviews on complex client deliverables
  • Partner with Pharmacy, Clinical, Financial, Actuarial & Analytics, and other cross-functional teams on integrated solutions
  • Contribute to the development of compliance intellectual capital, methodologies, tools, and market-facing insights
  • Support business development efforts by shaping compliance solutions for new and existing clients
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to junior compliance colleagues

Qualifications

The Requirement 

  • Significant experience in Health & Benefits compliance consulting or related advisory roles
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. health and welfare regulatory requirements and regulatory interpretation
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, judgment-based client engagements
  • Proven experience influencing senior stakeholders and collaborating across functions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics clearly
  • Track record of mentoring and developing junior consultants
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Ability to travel as needed

 

Compensation and Benefits 

 

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation.

 

Compensation 

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $95,000 - $165,000 USD per year. 

 

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
