Description
The Finance function serves both internal and external customers: colleagues within our company, client organizations, shareholders, financial institutions, vendors and regulatory agencies around the world. This role resides in our Business Finance domain within Finance.
The individual filling this role will be responsible for leading all aspects of Business Finance for the Corporate Risk and Broking (“CRB”) business in Latin America (“LATAM”) which is one of our key growth regions for the global broking business. The role includes regional leader financial support, financial performance management process (budgeting, forecasting, etc. in conjunction with Enterprise and Segment Financial Planning & Analysis functions), standard and ad hoc reporting and analysis, operating processes (in conjunction with Global Financial Services and global process leaders where applicable), controls compliance, policy implementation and interpretation and business transformation.
The person in role will play a key role as Finance business partner supporting the business and leaders of the Corporate Risk & Broking business in LATAM and will be a member of the International Finance leadership team and be key partner for the regional leadership team.
The Role
Act as a valued strategic finance business partner to the regional leadership teams through thoughtful analysis of financial information and trends that drives actionable decisions to deliver superior financial performance that meets and/or exceeds internal and external stakeholder financial objectives.
Work with the regional leadership team to proactively identify and help solve performance issues. Regarded as a key contributor to the regional leadership teams in shaping the long-term business strategy to drive superior performance.
Build and manage a high performing team that maintains a strong “client service” focus and culture and delivers value-added financial reporting and analysis to the segment management team.
Develop and manage strong working relationships with various departments within Corporate Finance as well as with leaders in Segments, Geographies and Corporate Functions. Engage other departments to promote and model collaboration and sharing of best practices.
Work seamlessly as a team with Enterprise FP&A in serving business financial needs in the most efficient and effective way for the company. Coordinate, facilitate and be proactive in representing the regional perspective with regards to key global financial performance management measures as relevant for the respective segment
Lead the regional and country Finance teams in the execution of robust monthly and quarterly end close processes and financial reviews from both a controllership and FP&A area of responsibility.
The regional finance leader will be accountable to consolidate the financial risks and opportunities of the CRB business for LATAM to CRB finance and business leadership. Other areas of focus include Other Regional Segment (ORS), WIP/AR management and client revenue and client profitability across the countries that constitute the LATAM region.
Drive the development of the monthly ORS and CRB LATAM region forecasts and annual plan with the monthly forecasts serving as a mechanism to assess risks and opportunities faced as they strive to meet their plan objectives and the annual plan ensuring financial targets are set to enable WTW will meet internal and external stakeholder objectives. Partner with the segment finance leads to ensure collaboration and alignment of overall region business forecasts and plans are pressure-tested.
- Serves as the key regional finance leader in all strategic initiatives that impact Latin America such as M&A, investment opportunities, enterprise operational initiatives, etc.
Qualifications
The Requirements
- 10+ years related experience in financial analysis and budgeting experience required
- Experience with both strategic and operational analyses preferred
- Systems and data knowledge to be able to direct colleagues in the accumulation and synthesis of data into operational recommendations
- Financial and business acumen as evidenced by having roles with progressively broader financial responsibilities
- Possesses or has the strong ability to attain commercial knowledge of the business portfolio and have an aptitude of understanding the business financial drivers to enable strong financial acumen partnership with the regional business leader(s)
- Strong experience in Oracle, Hyperion and MS Office Applications
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to lead team, drive change, develop skills of direct reports, and positively impact team morale
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships in a collaborative fashion
- Strong influencing skills
- Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance or deep related experience; CPA or equivalent qualification e.g ACA or ACCA
