Neuron - Head of Engineering and Delivery

About the Role
Neuron is seeking a visionary and strategic Head of Engineering and Delivery drive the successful execution of our digital initiatives. This senior leadership role will be responsible for fostering a high-performance culture, ensuring alignment between business and technology strategies, and driving operational excellence in delivery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leadership, and stakeholder engagement with the ability to inspire and develop teams to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to engineering and delivery teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term vision.
• Cultivate a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability across engineering and delivery teams.
• Establish and lead governance frameworks to enhance efficiency, transparency, and decision-making in delivery processes.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to define and prioritize initiatives that drive business growth and customer success.
• Champion Agile and Lean methodologies to ensure flexibility, efficiency, and continuous improvement in delivery.
• Oversee resource planning, budgets, and vendor relationships to optimize performance and value.
• Communicate and advocate for technology-driven business opportunities with executives and board members.
• Ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives while managing risk and change effectively.

Technical Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions.
• Drive the adoption of modern engineering practices, including DevOps, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
• Ensure the effective use of cloud technologies and infrastructure to support business objectives.
• Oversee the architecture and design of complex systems, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and standards.
• Implement robust data management and analytics strategies to drive data-driven decision-making.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, promoting best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the organization.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a senior leadership role, such as Head of Engineering, Director of Engineering, or similar.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Track record of driving transformational change, fostering innovation, and improving delivery efficiency.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Experience in strategic planning, governance, and business alignment.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities in complex and fast-paced environments.
• Experience managing budgets, resource allocation, and large-scale programs.
• Passion for building a strong organizational culture and developing future leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in leading digital transformation initiatives within complex organizations.
• Knowledge of industry best practices in leadership, governance, and operational excellence.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and modern software development methodologies.
• Familiarity with data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
